Watch it for the cinematography and some acting, don't expect some state of the art narrative. Eventhough it was adapted out of a manga, the story ironically is just comically equivalent to puberty urge of hormonal shift. For that I give 7/10

It was water level show, there's 2+2 romance. The only one I root for is the nympho, the other girl is just so superficially insincere. Maybe charming to some but not me. And the music is awful, trying too hard to be R&B but that's not it. 6.5/10
nb: if you're looking the show for the skinship expect disappointment; only fodder figurantes shown their sensitive parts. Main leads just don't have the totality for it.

This was obituary portrayed in splendor, We long for nostalgic times, they are more vibrant than these times. This was cinematographed beautifully, And of course we won't want see most of the screen time on grim color of B&W, will we? Clever play by Zhang Yi-mou himself.

Just a remake of New Police Story, very similar archetype

Not as good as most ppl here said. maybe it's not aging that well. The music, the vibe, direction kinda not for me. 6.5/10

Poor guy can only be cast in dubious title

Good action scenes, thin plot. A reminiscent of what 90's action goodies was. Thoroughly watch this to get satisfaction of beautifully crafted choreography and camera work. All fluid not cut or edited to pieces. While the story is not the best forte, it's there to serve the purpose. Some plotholes I remember was how Wang can suddenly find the bar den of the villains. Antagonist characters not well constructed so shallow, though they were formidable adversary to fight with. I suppose the cast were prioritized on fighting skill over than subtle acting skill.
Nevertheless hands down it's the best martial fighting scenes in years if not this decade

It didn't click with me, looked like Sherlock here a bit too smart with no leads just going to solution. The ending also didn't wrap up well, since the Furako unconfirmed death remain open. Perhaps duration kept direction cut to the chase not serving leads to viewer.

Perhaps in the day they were good, but it's not clicked with me either. For a movie with music theme, the songs are not that good. Maybe it's only my ears. I can only give 7/10. I will not save this movie. Will delete soon when something's better coming in.

I know the game marketed for male, that's why only females here good looking. But at least make the story plot-hole-less. For a live-action game the narrative is not so enticing. The attraction of a live-action genre is the looks of the cast and their natural acting granted. The story is not so believable on my take. 6.5/10 been a while I rated dorama so low.

Special or SP is a way Japanese saying of direct to TV or home broadcast. A movie release is theatrical on cinema not directly on home, although they may later get to home media or streamed.
As you said, SP also sometimes an addition to already established franchise. But not necessarily.

I was picking this up for Kato Konatsu, but her role so minor I am disappointed. Not so good drama, the theme, casting, and ending just water level. Even Konatsu can't save it unfortunately.
