Yeah if it is a good drama, I do too. Like Rise of the Phoenixes and Rebel Princess and sort of The Story of Ming Lan.

Sword Snow Stride was definitely more story driven than love. It had a bit of a that in it, but it wasn't in your face and I loved SSS and I usually am a more romantic story driven, I was so impressed with SSS. I will be going back and watching it again soon.

I have been told that. I have tried to watch it, cause I like Xu Kai in costume dramas as well (The Legends). I just can't get past the main female lead, she just really gives me a sour note about watching the drama. I don't know why, cause I have tried to watch it, even with a few of my favorite actors in it.

It looks like Master of my Own is going to be on Viki as well. It said it would start airing it in 4 days.

I am so glad. I am on the first episode and trying to watch the subs on Youtube through Mango is very difficult.

yes, he is one of my favorites too. He is the ML in Jiu Liu Overlord with Bai Lu in case you haven't watched it. He is so good. The first time I saw him was in Fuyao, but he has been in so many others. He played the antagonist in The Flame's Daughter. He was in The King's Avatar with Yang Yang. I wish he would get more ML dramas, as well.

Yes, but I think they left him back at the main sect. Although, I hope they bring him back into the story, because I loved his and BFX's interactions.

yes, true, I think he doesn't really want to tell the 1st prince everything, because after all there are 3 princes fighting for crown prince and it may come to a point if he tells his brother everything it could be turned against him.

Where has Miss Huan (Lanxi's handmaid) gone? She was there for a couple of episodes and she was obviously at the palace with Lanxi, cause she handed FQW the receipt for the items that were given to BFX. Then we haven't seen her since. ( I was actually wondering if they would show Lanxi confronting her for giving FQW that receipt). Just curious, I am always wondering about characters that they introduce and show and then they just disappear.

YES!!!! 100xs this. I would watch any drama with him in it. The only drama I have watched him in where he played the main lead, was Jiu Liu Overlord with Bai Lu (whom I also love to follow).
Edit: I do like watching Yang Yang dramas and think he is a great actor, but I would watch and pick Leon Lai or Zhang Zhe Han ( I hope he comes back soon) in any drama over him, if I had to. :)

I like both, but yes the plot and intrigue drive the story and it is good. I think without the love story this still would be a great drama.

Ok I hope I word this how I want and it sounds convincing. Please excuse me if I mess anything up, typing on my phone right and I usually type from my computer. Lol.

I know there has been a lot of back and forth discussion on whether HFX knows BFX 's real identity. At first, I was really really was under the impression that he really doesn't know that she is the princess he keeps talking about. (And he still may not know) BUT!! after reading comments and really watching the drama I think he does know. Here are my reasons:

1. Reading a comment in which someone said "HFX is the leader of the Abode (excuse if i get the name wrong, i always forget it) Sect and they know everything." Which watching the drama you can tell they do know everything. HFX has said they have hidden locations in almost every major city, etc. How can he not know she is the princess.

2. The interactions from the two. He is really drawn to her to the point of "love" and caring. He drops hints imo, like when he mentioned how he likes the princess's poetry or his meeting in the room with the protraits of the lords, etc. I think he does that to see if she will take the bait and reveal her identity.

3. The most recent episode where he could cut all the strings but his attachment to hers. Unless he only admires the princess and loves BFX (not knowing they are one in the same, only if he doesn't know)

Anyway that is my summary or thoughts. I wouldnt be surprised if her reveal is just as lowkey as his was because of him already possibly knowing.

I can't watch the King's Woman again. I hated the ending. It was a great story, but I was mad about the ending.

lol that reminded of when they got the birds. I was wondering where the heck did BFX put her bird. I saw HFX's bird hidden in Zhong Li's outfit. I thought, really, you are going to put at bird in your clothes. LOL

I agree. I feel so sorry for his character. I hope they do something good with him and not turn him into a bad character. I like him. I also hope that after hearing LanXi's explanation in court about why he was keeping his martial arts a secret, will help him get over his angst toward LanXi, it looked like a little "oh" moment on the 1st prince's face after that, so I hope that thing will get better with them. If he only knew LanXi was really looking out for him.

yes, I agree. I love strong, smart, and quick witted main leads. It also aggravates me to see in some of these dramas if the two people would just talk to each other than things would get resolved. I haven't really seen that here and I hope I don't. The only time I saw it was between the 1st prince and Lanxi. Lanxi is keeping everything from his older brother when they have such a close relationship. Although, I did like his explanation in court near the end of episode 16, and the look in the 1st prince's face, made it seem now he understood why Lanxi kept things from him.

lol, i wonder. It is just so weird we never see her face. You even see the king turn to her and address her and they still don't show it.

I will check those out. I can't believe they postponed master of my own, so sad. I started Simmer Down last night too, cause of Leon Lai, but only got about halfway before I started to fall asleep, it was late and had to get up early. Not sure if I will like it yet.

I don't know, I have watched the first 4 episodes of it. I am such a huge Seven Tan fan too. Everyone says it is really good. I just get distracted with other shows, lol. I loved her in Under the Power and The Sword and the Brocade is my absolute favorite, I have rewatched that so many times. I just recently watched Face off, which I had never seen before either. I actually haven't even updated all the shows I have watched I am so behind on that. I have so many more to add to my watched list. I will add it to my must watch soon list lol. But her new drama just started today as well, so now I have to watch, Master of my Own, so excited.

I don't know, I just know he said to HC's sister, he couldn't return her affection because he will not live past 30, something to do with the empyrean or something. Curious to know more of that.
