Discussion thread for those who have seen through episode 12: Who do you think is the likely candidate for leader…
I think it is the 3rd prince. I think he is more devious than anyone thinks. In one of the episodes after his retainer got executed for the shipwreck, he had a conversation with his new retainer, that made me think he had more going on than even his mother knows.
You can watch the long ballad, the romance of tiger and rose, love and redemption, general's lady, the king's woman, ashes…
Nirvana in Fire was so good and also Rise of the Phoenixes. More serious, but the plot and story was probably the best I have seen. I also have to put Sword Snow Stride up there as well, although, a bit disappointing that they were unable to tell the whole story of SSS, maybe they will do a part 2.
Last two episodes are too good guys..the leads are getting close ..their interaction is so sweet..i just watched…
I haven't read the book so not sure, but I think the evil sect lead is the 3rd prince. I think he wants everyone to think he is pulled my his mother's purse strings, but I really think he is a lot more evil than people think.
Also, I love the cuju ball scene. "They're not playing Cuju." "What are they doing then?" "They are flirting with each other."
If you are really looking for a reverse harem the first half of Untouchable Lovers fills that slot. I prefer the 2nd half of that drama over the first. The actors were good, but I hated the whole first half.

I love most of those. The Romance of Tiger and Rose is so one of my favorites. I have rewatched several times. I also really like Jun Jiu Ling, I think Jin Han is so underrated. He is such a great actor, he usually always plays support roles, but his main roles in Jun Jiu Ling and Our Glamorous Time were so good. I would add "The Flame's Daughter", "The Legend of Yun Xi", "The Blooms of Ruyi Pavilion", "Jiu Liu Overlord", and "The Story of Ming Lan", to name a few. There are so many good wuxia and xianxia dramas.
OMG! I love listening Snow Tower. Next to Leon Lai, Qun Jun Jie is one of my favorite actors to watch. The female lead, Crystal Yuan is currently starring in My Sassy Princess, on iQiyi which I am also watching.
I'm on episode 2 and trust me I'm seeing soo many familiar faces from romance of tiger and rose and ancient love…
A lot of these actors have done a lot of other dramas together. The 3rd Prince and his little "henchman" and Huang Chao (played by Leon Lai) were all in "The Flame's Daughter". Yang Yang and Leon Lai were in "The King's Avatar" together. Zhao LuSi has been in a lot of things, she is so awesome, one of my favorite actresses, she usually plays a cutesy, bubbly type. I could go on with all the actors and shows they have been in together.
Can someone tell me the relationship between the First and Second Prince? I've watched 9 episodes so far and is…
So the First Prince is the bio son of the current queen, 2nd Prince's stepmother. The 2nd Prince's mother was the first queen and she died, I believe from being poisoned. So they are technically half-siblings. Yes, the 3rd prince is also the bio son of the current queen as well. It makes the 1st Prince and 3rd Prince full blood brothers. The current queen does not acknowledge the 1st Prince as her son because of a medical condition he has, which you learn in episodes 9 and 10 (mainly 10).
Yeah you’re right. We always demand more, silly us😅
I can barely stand watching American TV anymore. I love watching Asian Dramas. There hasn't been any American shows I really like and the Chinese dramas come out so frequently that it is hard to keep that I don't even have time to watch any American shows anyway.
My personal opinion about the chemistry: I am loving their chemistry, it is more playful than romantic right now. A lot of people are saying that Yang Yang has better chemistry with Dilraba, yes at the time for YAMG, he did, (they have also said he had great chemistry with Zheng Shuang in Love O2O, although I would personally disagree ) but that was/is a totally different drama and a lot more mature and modern, so it can't really compare. I have always thought Dilraba has great chemistry with every leading male, the best imo being Vengo Gao in TMoPB.
Yang Yang and Zhao LuSi also have always had great chemistry with all their F/M Leads as well. Zhao LuSi has a way of bringing out the best in her costars I think. I never thought that her and Lin Yu Shen would work in Dating in the Kitchen, but I was very impressed. Zhao LuSi has a cutesy type persona and is very bubbly so any ML with her just fits, even the serious ones, they counter balance each other.
So comparing the FL or ML of past dramas chemistry, especially when the dramas are not even of the same genre or era, with their current dramas does not make sense , imo. The above is just my personal opinions, so take it as you want, it just from my observations. All I know, is this is an amazing cast of actors and you can see the talent and they are doing a great job in this drama. I can not wait for more. (I am so excited about it, that I am actually reading the book now)
Edited: P.S. to the comment below about kissing, I don't base chemistry off of kissing and I never mentioned kissing in my above comments. Actors can kiss and have no chemistry or they can have loads of chemistry and never kiss. So please don't put words in my mouth or assume you know what I am talking about. There are plenty of fans out there that know chemistry has nothing to do with kissing, physical attraction, etc. So don't demean us and think you know what you are talking about and we don't.
I am absolutely loving this drama. Every time they introduce a new character, I am like, I know that actor from another drama series I have liked. There are so many great actors in this series. It is so exceptional. I started watching because of Zhao LuSi, Yang Yang, and one of my favorites, Leon Lai, but staying for the story and the exceptional fight scenes. The fight scene choreography is so brilliant in this. I really like this side of Zhao Lu Si, they still have her light heartedness that she is known for, but at the same time they have made her more serious and mature as well. And Leon Lai, ever since I saw him in Legend of Fu Yao, I have been a huge fan of his. I am getting anxious to find out who Zhao Lu Si's character really is, especially since we know who Yang Yang's is. I really hope this drama continues to be as good as it is now. I know a lot of them have a tendency to rush the ending or it starts to drag out when it gets to the middle, I really hope they don't do a disservice to this awesome cast.
Loving this drama. Zhao Lusi fight scenes are better choregraphed and they are quite pleasing. Leon Lai is very…
I really really want to get into Ancient Love Poetry, because I really enjoy watching anything Leon Lai is in and Xu Kai is awesome too, but... I absolutely do not like the main female lead in it. I have tried several times to watch it, but she just aggravates me so much that I can't get into it. :(
I usually watch CDramas, with an occasional KDrama every now and then. I saw the synopsis for this and thought it sounded good and I am so glad I watched it. I was waiting every week for new episodes (which I rarely do, I usually wait til an entire series is out). Once I started this, I couldn't stop. I can't even say enough amazing things about how good this drama is. The acting, cast, story, etc. It seriously should have had at least another 2 maybe 3 episodes to kind create a bit more drama of him being away etc. That would be my only negative, the ending wasn't rushed, but it didn't really give me that feeling of how I think it should have ended. Overall a very very great drama, my absolute favorite RomCom I have seen in a very long time.
This has to be one of the best and cutest dramas I have seen in a very long time. I am usually a CDrama fanatic, but I have started watching more KDramas lately and I was following this one from beginning to end, it is really one of the best. The acting is wonderful. I really think it is was great. The ending was a bit anti climatic, but I think for this drama it suited it to a point.
Also, I love the cuju ball scene. "They're not playing Cuju." "What are they doing then?" "They are flirting with each other."
