I'm interested in Rebel Princess since i heard it has a happy ending. Is it good?
Not really a love triangle. There are several people who like the FL, she doesn't initially like the ML, she already had someone she liked. She does end up liking him. I myself, really like the ML in The Rebel Princess, he is definitely perfect for the part.
Because all they have is an inadmissible proof, the poison bottle. It was not obtained by authority and the cook…
I forgot about that part. YN wouldn't have gone to prison except Madam Chen had YN's maid tell the magistrate, whereas they kept her situation in house.
I love to see all these reaction to LYN's plotting and intelligence. To me this is nothing new. If you haven't seen The Princess Wei Young or The Story of Ming Lan, what LYN does here pales in comparison to these stories and the clever intelligent FLs of those. I am use to these types of historical dramas with this kind of intrigue. I wouldn't necessarily call this a thriller or mystery so to speak. There are many political historical dramas where this type of stuff happens all the time, I guess I am so use to it. But I love seeing people get excited over this kind of stuff.
I would recommend the following dramas if you seriously like this type of story: The Princess Wei Young The Story of Ming Lan The Rebel Princess Jun Jiu Ling Nirvana in Fire *edit* (this is not really female lead centric, but it is a great political drama) The Legend of Dugu The Rise of Phoenixes The Sword and the Brocade
These are just a few, but I am sure there are several others that I missed.
Old mansion: bad father + good grandmaNew mansion: good father + unwelcomed grandmaBe strong Yining! ✊
I hope it happens soon. I really don't want the identity of her real father to drag out like her not being the legitimate daughter of the Luo family has.
So far this has been one of the best episodes, at least for story progression. But, LYN's not bio father is dumb, clueless, incompetent, runs hot and cold, gullible, just an all around freaking idiot. I know I say I don't like Concubine Qiao or the First Madam, because they are evil, but I truly hate LYN's not bio father. He is the worst character and sort of the worst written.
Also, it looks like the First Madam is insinuating that LYN is the child of her husband and LYN's mother. And I knew that letter would be at the end of this episode so we would have to wait til tomorrow.
So I take it that the grandma knew all along about the FL's true identity? (or maybe not necessarily who her father was, but that she wasn't really her granddaughter)
I am unable to do that, but it's a good lesson... I will never, ever again start a drama which is not completely…
its one of the reasons why I like binging, even though it sucks to wait, I prefer watching all the episodes at once, but sometimes I miss the day to day chatting and posts that you get when you watch an ongoing drama, so I will occasionally watch an ongoing drama just go get that
Did anyone else feel as you were watching the scene with Concubine Qiao and LYN that if felt staged, not really real? What I mean is we know from the previews Concubine Qiao is alive, so I didn't get the feeling I am suppose to from the scene, if I had not know she was alive. That most every thing that LYN is going through was completely intentional. (which for the most part I am sure it was) But I guess I should not look at the previews, so I would get that shock and awe feeling so to speak.
My balloon 🎈 was completely burst after watching the trailer for ep 27 when I shortly discovered only episode…
Me!!! I feel it...can we just skip episode 26 and get to 27...... especially surprise the fact Concubine Qiao isn't dead, I can't believe they put that in the preview
I know I have said this already but I really can't stand that lady of the first house. Please can we be done with her.
Also, i think today was the first time in this drama I actually got a bit annoyed with Ren Min's voice. When LYN was whining about LSY not wearing the clothes she made for him. It got a little to whiny for me.
C-dramas usually have a 2nd couple. it's not unusual and I don't think they have that much screen time. Maybe…
I agree with you. I think this episode they maybe had a bit more, but there have been episodes that haven't even showed the 2nd couple. I think they also did this to clear up a lot of stuff. I don't understand why everyone is so upset about this. There are way more dramas out there where there are 2nd couples even 3rd couples that get just as much if not more screen time than the main couple. ( Wrong Carriage, Right Groom for one). IMO, the 2nd couple in this drama hardly has that much screen time at all.
Here's a different perspective on why the second couple has been getting more screentime lately. First, as others…
Love this explanation. I also have mentioned that about 2nd and 3rd couples being in almost on every single drama. Thank you so much for your wonderful insight.
I just love reading different people's reviews, comments and thoughts, sometimes I agree and sometimes I don't and even sometimes it makes me change my thoughts and views, seeing it from a different perspective.
