I am really enjoying this drama and I haven't enjoyed very many xianxias lately. I like these two together. They are really cute and have great chemistry so far. I have always liked Ryan Ding's dramas, and I have liked Yang Chao Yue ever since I watched her with Xu Kai Cheng in Dance of the Phoenix. I am so glad I am seeing her in more roles, lately.
HH did get the divorce papers from her ex. She went to meet JJH to let him know, so I think yes, but there was no real official we are together. But I am pretty sure they are now.
All creeps go to jail finally. TML is funny....dude just ask her out. Wish they showed more of the togetherness…
The more they showed of him, the more I wanted to reach through the screen and punch him myself, so glad JJH got that opportunity. What a royal a**, I mean seriously, especially when he tried to threaten HH with never being able to see her son again.
Don't understand HH, she says she doesn't have feelings for JJH, than why does she try so hard to exclude him, not be around him, and get upset with her son (only briefly) when he tells JJH stuff? What an infuriating character.
In episode 36, did I see correctly? Did she just track that black car with her phone? (I assume it was her husband's) Why didn't she do that from the beginning?
Well... she just lost her mother. I don't think funerals are the most appropriate time for romance. And she is…
I agree with your assessment of the husband never cheating. I think it was a set up by his boss and that other guy, to get HH off the trail or rather cover up the real reason her husband left. Of course the "other woman" was in on it and she just got paid for setting it all up.
💯 The last two or three episodes have been great! 👍🍹🙌🏼🥰🌟I'm not a novice to c-dramas; this…
This drama isn't the type of drama I would normally watch. I started it for Liu Yu Ning, because I have been really interested in his dramas lately. But the story in this drama is so well done, as well as the acting, that I couldn't stop watching it and wanting to root for these women and see how their stories unfold. I have been extremely impressed and have enjoyed watching.
Condolences on the loss of your mother. I can only imagine how much that scene meant and felt to you, it was definitely a huge tear fest for myself.
Lots of emotions with today's episodes. Other than a couple of scenes here and there, overall this drama has really been good. I love the stories and the progress of each character. Now the last 6 episodes should tie up all the loose ends and hopefully will end on a good note.
YY has become my fav character, she has the best character development among the 3 FLs, and despite her little…
I have to say I love seeing other people's takes on the scenes/situations. Sometimes I don't see it from all angles, so when I read another's takeaway from the same scene that I viewed differently it makes it easier to piece things together and to understand from a different perspective.
I wish there are more viewers/commenters like us who are currently watching this show. TBH, this is one show I'm…
I think the only reason I might watch it is because of LYN and Dilraba, honestly I am not a huge fan of Simon Gong's acting. I like the story/synopsis of LOA, so for that I might enjoy it. I am not a novel reader either. I usually go into these dramas without having read any novels/manga/sources/etc. So my view/critique is fresh without any previous knowledge, just based on what a screenwriter has done and the acting portrayed.
Ugh that Zhang Ke is such trash. I also didn’t like how the whole thing with HH and JJ unfolded. It’s okay…
I am glad others felt that way about HH, it just was an awkward scene. I felt bad for him, especially because it seems she lacked complete empathy at all, especially after everything he has done for her.

Yes, this is actually the only drama I am currently watching at the moment. I was watching Mysterious Lotus Casebook, but I want to wait til all the episodes are out to finish. I prefer to watch costume dramas all in one go or rather binge watch them. Modern Dramas I don't mind watching while it is on going.
Does LOA get better? I watched the first 3 episodes and I couldn't stand the dubber for Dilraba, they seemed way over the top and just kind of annoying. Also, I don't know if I could really feel the chemistry between her and Gong Jun.
Very good episodes. Much progress made. I am glad Yuan Yuan stood up for herself and didn't fall back into her ex's manipulation and tricks. Also, standing up to Zhang Ke, wow what a jerk he became, bitter and rude just because he didn't get the girl.
I am not sure how I really felt about how He Huan rebuked JJH. I don't know if I really liked the possibility of a relationship between the two, but she seemed a bit stoic in her response. I understand she is still married. I get it, but basically telling him to quit bothering you and stay out of your life. She allowed him to be around in the first place. Always relying on him to make food (which I know he offered and didn't mind) and allowing him to care for her son when she is busy and helping out with her parents. She seems sort of robotic, like she has no feelings or emotions about anything.
The more I watch the less I am liking He Huan. I am not sure what it is about her character, but at the beginning of the series I felt for her, etc. Now her character is annoying the crap out of me. If anything Yuan Yuan has become my favorite of the series.
There didn't seem to be much progress in the episodes released today. Actually for the first time, I fast forwarded through a lot of scenes, because they were kind of dragging. I did like the little interaction between Yuan Yuan and Mr. Liu. The scene with JJH posing at HH's husband Ou Kaige, felt really uncomfortable to me. It just didn't feel right. I am starting get where I can't see a relationship between those two. The closer they get the more it just doesn't feel right. At first I was all for the relationship, now I don't know, you can clearly see she isn't at all interested in him in that way. It will take a lot of work for me to see this relationship working.
We still have 13 episodes left, why are they focusing on that little hot line operator girl's love life? I don't care really about her story (although it is a cute little story, but her infatuation with Zhang Ke is a bit much and I am over that). They are veering from what I want to see. There is still so much to tell. Yuan Yuan and furniture owner guy's story, cause they have to get together, it is my must. Ren Jie and Bai Yang still needs to get together and their story told. And of course, everything needs to be dealt with in He Huan's life, her job (her book thing, she was starting to work on again with JJH), her (ex)husband's situation, paying off the debts, and most of all the feelings between her and JJH. I am interested to see how they are going to put all that in the next 13 episodes.
But most of all, I am so glad Yuan Yuan and her boy toy's story is over. I hated that relationship, like her friends said it was toxic.
Yuan Yuan always seems to be in some kind of turmoil, but this time I hope it ends with her and that "boy toy" of hers broken up for good. I do not like that relationship. I think it is bad for her. I am still rooting for her and the furniture owner guy (Mr. Liu).
