He told ML to keep a distance. Fine. That's OK. But what about him? Is teaching archery hand in hand a respectable distance for unrelated males? Holding her hand and staying in her room all night long? Isn't that affecting her reputation? Honestly, the drama is being very selective about reputation and really shouldn't use that for or against any of these guys.

And ML didn't know FL would be there. She would have been thought to be a spy whether or not he showed up because abusers are suspicious inherently. ML told her his concerns, he respected her decision to investigate, but he truly protected her in the shadows and came out when needed. SML visited and said he would be there, but there's no concrete plan or action. I don't question his desire or sincerity, but his ability.

Glad you are enjoying it more. Hope I am not being too annoying, but may I mention that ML was seen writing and reading books throughout the drama? He was studying for the test and also writing essays to document the injustice to women and the less fortunate in society. He was the one who came up with the plans in each of the cases to catch the villains and was FL's back up when she gets into trouble. He was networking with the Elder Yin and Prince Rui. I know these things may be overshadowed by the annoying jealousy/drama's idea of" funny moments" and I am so glad that's over. These last few episodes are quantum leaps better once we see him and FL more for me.

Martial arts isn't learned in a day. She has no basic training for it. 😂

Speaking of archery, WZQ is excellent at it. He can shoot right handed or left and actually has taught other actors how to shoot. 🏹

Did he decide to investigate on his own if he doesn't trust ML? Is there any awareness of the dangers she is in? Nah, just continue to be a happy puppy.

And how does he walk into the bedroom of the Wei's wife? He's there for his mother, but does it make sense for him to be in her bedroom? Feels shoe-horned in so that he can interact with FL.

And why is he and all her friends not alarmed that she is by herself, with no martial arts skills, in a dangerous stranger's house? ML is not happy about this, but he's floating around ready to kick butt.

And this is one of the reasons why ML didn't tell her the truth. She is better off unaware till he finds out more things and puts down more enemies first.

The girl asked to speak to him privately, but he refused. That's fine, I understand propriety. But instead of sitting down at the table and quietly talking (Ming Shu can still be there), he announced loudly to the crowd to reject her and say he has someone in his heart. But that someone already rejected him and he put her in an awkward situation in front of the crowd, making them think that Ming Shu should give him a chance. What happens later when she doesn't? What would the crowd gossip about her? Later Ming Shu said she doesn't mind, but he wouldn't have known that. And what else can she say at that point? He already announced to everyone that he's pursuing her.

I'm not saying he's a bad guy. He is human.

The girl that liked him was annoying, but besides being cocky she didn't do anything terrible. She didn't even insult FL. But he publicly embarrassed her and rejected her. It's fun to watch and because the actress isn't attractive, we are OK with him doing this.
