Can y'all let the relationship stuff go? It's getting annoying ngl. I keep coming on here to see if anyone else is making guesses about what's going to happen next, and all the comments are about the same shit we talked about days ago. It's annoying. Many people have explained their viewpoints. At this point, y'all should agree to disagree and move on.
Anyways, do you all think Liu Chang's plan is going to work? I hate him so bad. That loser struggled to pass the exams and now wants to block the path of people of a lower class than him. None of the people in Ning Wang's corner are respectable. Which, I guess, makes sense given the type of person he is, but it also makes me wonder if he had something to do with his father's death. I would not put it past him. Also, I'm wondering how things got this bad. Why did their dad (Ning Wang and San Lang) not do anything to take care of this problem before he passed/got sick? I'm not sure if they addressed this or not. If they did, please let me know.
Another thing, that Pei ass. If he doesn't get a horrific death, I'll be so disappointed. He's killed so many women, and yet still has a reputation as a gentleman? WTF?! How has his ass not been exposed yet? Also, what did XX's dad give Ning Wang? The subs were bad, and I can't read Chinese.
Genuine question, why is it that in all the drama forum discussions people are always desperate for kisses and…
....most of the discussions have been people complaining about the random noble idiocy that jcy had. It did not make sense for him not to confess sooner when everyone already thought of Mudan as his favored concubine and would thus attack her to get to him. The divorce stuff in the recent episode made sense but before that it did not and just seemed like a plot point to drag things out. It's not wrong for people to call this out. You are right that skinship and kisses should not define a relationship but again, jcy constantly rejecting their feelings/relationship while STILL having Mudan as his concubine and having pretend love fights was dumb. In ep 17, if they didn't kiss/sleep together and Mudan really left, I would have been fine because at least he's finally acknowledging what's going on between them which is honestly the more important thing.
Though I'm gonna be honest I think there is a 50/50 chance he goes into hiding/separation happens and all the…
I think 16/17 is when they get together and 18 is when the banquet happens and during that banquet is when Ning Wang stages a coup. But JCY gets the emperor away in time from the clips I've seen. So the war will be going on throughout 18 - 24.
Also I don't think Mudan gets imprisoned as much as she's captured by her ex. Which I guess feels like imprisonment…
I'm not surprised by his development. He kept going on about being lowly in the first season and I knew that whole dialogue with one of Ning Wang's men when in jail would set him over the edge.
That's what I was thinking too. I've been trying to fit everything together but I keep getting confused. For example,…
I feel like they are going to include some sort of time skip in the upcoming episodes in order for this to all work out. Maybe mudan helps him with the lettuce stuff, he breaks up with her again eg the coconut stuff, there's a time skip and then we get the boat/their first kiss??

This is my biggest question. He's seen talking about how he asked the emperor for candles, he's not jailed. I'm so confused on how he gets out of the embezzlement. Unless they somehow find another scapegoat or Mudan has money stored somewhere...but that was a lot of money...
Timeline of some of the next episodes based on previews doesn't make sense considering the current events. Interesting…
That's what I was thinking too. I've been trying to fit everything together but I keep getting confused. For example, the scene where she's crying in the coconut looking hat and he rejects her...when does that happen?? Or the festival where they wear mask and dance?
Though I'm gonna be honest I think there is a 50/50 chance he goes into hiding/separation happens and all the…
Have you seen ep 17 trailer? Most of the sexy scenes are from that trailer. So we will most likely be getting those scenes soon. The knife emoji is ep 18. That's when Ning Wang stabs JCY. So I feel like the scenes aren't fake.
Basically what I've been saying. They'll get together. Get separated. War. End.
There's a clip of her investigating something and she knocks down a mask which turns out to be him, so I think eventually JCY will escape whatever prison they put him in.
We get maybe 2 episodes of happiness and then jcy's and mudan's imprisonment happens lmao. No wonder they have him feasting on her. Happiness before the storm.
Side note, I wonder how he's going to get out of the setup. I can't wait for tomorrow's episodes
So does the Emperor have a wife or does he just have the two consorts? I"m assuming Consort Shu is the higher…
I think he doesn't have an empress yet because of the situation with Ning Wang. There would be too much fighting because Ning Wang would want the empress to be the one he picked. As for the princess, I don't think she'd be the official "wife" even if she is a princess.
A lot of people are criticizing the lack of romance but I never did see this as a romance drama... I really just…
For me, it's not about seeing it as a romance drama or not. I didn't start this viewing it as a romance, but if you are going to include romance, dragging it out will annoy most viewers. They like each other, and the reasons jcy has for not pursuing anything are dumb because everyone already views mudan as his beloved concubine. They will come after her to hurt him no matter what. And even if she wasn't his concubine, liu chang is obsessed with her, so the princess will never let her know peace. Her life would be in danger anyway, so the noble bs is driving everyone nuts because, given the situation, it doesn't make sense. I think I could withstand it more if she didn't have this reputation of being loved by him. Then his actions would make sense, and I would not be expecting anything to progress.

There are videos of JCY feasting on Mudan's face finally. Lmao.
