Can't recall any platonic male-female or bromance that I loved so I'll go with sisterhood. I watched A New Life Begins this year and liked the female besties cast but especially between Li Wei(FL) who is the concubine and Yuan Ying the legal wife. They have such a healthy relationship compared to other harem set-ups.

11. A 2024 drama that kept you riveted

I resumed watching Joy of Life 2. It is really riveting especially the solid acting, witty dialogues, and gripping storylines.

Unfortunately, censorship is stricter with long form in CH. Short form dramas can actually get away with spicier scenes.

Yes, the director is good like that and is known for really excellent short dramas/web series like Killer is also Romantic, A Familiar Stranger, Butterflied Lover, etc. He knows how to tell a story concisely and beautifully even with a limited budget. The producer said she wanted to maximize his strengths and protect his creative vision while giving him the support of a long-form drama company like hers. This collaboration obviously paid off. Blossom's views per episode ranges from 55-61M now. 🎉
