Wasn't LSS gonna try to tell TTJ about her mission, but then the guards came? And ever since she just stopped…
Yes, she was gonna tell him.
There is an interview in which LYX said he wished they could rewind to that scene before Baiyu interrupted them so they won't have the miscommunication then THE END. Haha! πππ
I should not say this here, but looking at your pfp. How I wish she is the one plays YBC, one of my fav villains…
Agreed! I kept thinking this actress would do justice to the complexity of TH/YBC and I would prolly root for her. πI saw snippets of her from The Blue Whisperer and she was amazing!
I finally I managed to watch the late episodes and my considerations: - I understand Bing Chang's side a little,…
Yes, I understand her as well (others mentioned they do too) although that still doesn't make me like her. π Her latest antics are despicable. Drama is really amping up people's hate for her. One aspect I like about the drama is that LSS/YXW shows unguarded moments of caring and even love towards TTJ. She is way more cold-blooded in the novel, admittedly TTJ isn't a paragon there either. π€£
So, I skipped through ep.12-14 so far because Iβm not sure what any of this has to do with the series since…
The dream arc actually retells the events from 10,000 years ago between Ming Ye and Sangjiu as well as the battle of the gods and Devil God 1.0. You can read the Recent Discussion posts about it if you want to get the gist of the story. You might miss some epic scenes though. π
Peeps, TTJ was all sorts of evil in the novel but he did not rape YXW/LSS. I will post the "spoiler" explanation…
If you recall, in the drama like in the novel, YXW and TTJ consumed an aphrodisiac. YXW planned this for YBC and the annoying prince.
It is the spring knot silkworm created by the Yiyue tribe (TTJ mom's tribe). This aphrodisiac is more like a poison. The idea behind it is taken from the sentence βTill death do us part.β
The poison would attack every three months for the person who ate the poison. It would subside by having intimacy with the person who took the antidote. Meanwhile, the person who took the antidote will only feel an aphrodisiac-like effect on the first day. After that, everything would return to normal.
TTJ took the only antidote. YXW did not so she has severe sexual urges every 15th of every three months. She needs to have sexual relations with TTJ because she will be in excruciating physical and mental pain if she doesn't.
They had repeated intimacy under the guise of the spring knot silkworm. There was also a scene of TTJ offering to "help" YXW but YXW refused so he just went away.
In fictional works, this is considered dubcon(dubious consent) and is used by writers to move along the "relationship" of characters. It doesn't make it right but it is a literary tool.
LYX said it himself - rewind to the bridge scene, have the revelation, then THE END. π€£π€£π€£

I might rewatch this because I suddenly missed Sifeng! π€£

I will post the "spoiler" explanation with excerpts from the English translation below.
You know there will always be a KING in my heart in that department π€£π€£π€£
I normally don't watch ongoing dramas but I waded in from the 1st broadcast and now I'm just trying to get over the drought every weekend. ππ€‘
If you know, you know. ππ€£π€£π€£
