Chemistry stronger than the walls they build⨠Lu Yuxiao is so cute, itās nearly unbelievable. The character is so adorable that she gives me cuteness agression. The funniest part is that she gives the ML cuteness agression too. So it feels like both of us are crashing out over her loll. If she complains about something I literally see him think āomg my babyš„¹ā with the most adoring eyes ever and sometimes the vibe I get when heās looking at her is the vibe that āsheās so beautiful I donāt think Iāll ever get tired of this faceā. It feels really natural. And you know he doesnāt say any of this. I can just feel it. I can feel what theyāre both thinking and I just think thatās very cool. Amazing performance by the directors, actors and everyone involved. The warm feelings the story and characters evoke is impressive. Iāve always liked Yuxiao but Xingxuās smile is a discovery I made on this show. His smile is so pretty and warm that I went a started watching another show heās in asap.
Now what also Subin really needs is to get his big break as an actor. I know it's too early but marrying into…
They're still so young! When I see comments about -oh they don't communicate well and such- I'm like they're just so young. They still have so much to learn about how to make a relationship work
I wish they got to spend time together like a reulaf couple but itās fine. Itās just a little sorry because…
I'm wondering how to rate this. Korean writers tend to be very ambitious, and you can tell from the writing that they're often going for depth in their stories. Even the directing tries to bring out beauty and symbolism at many points. I never rate them just based on enjoyment because of this, because they're also not going for just enjoyment (or at least those are the types of kdramas I tend to watch more often). I tend to rate Cdramas based on just enjoyment because I think they largely go for a more straightforward approach, although they have important stories too, of course. But because of this, I rate them based on enjoyment and not so much on technical strength or dynamism. So, my ratings for Cdramas tend to be higher. So now I'm just thinking that it would be nice if I could somehow incorporate this nuance or show when I did consider all this and when it was just pure enjoyment. So, I've rated this an 8 because I could see where it was trying to be deep and copped out, or when a shot was trying to be adventurous- or supposed to show more depth- or where the dialogue was slipping because I can tell that maybe those are not the best words in the moment because they don't exactly match the tone in the moment- basically, I can see when the directors are trying to do something adventurous but don't stick that landing, and so I'm like nope you didn't stick that one- thought it was cool that you tried. It's different from a show that isn't adventurous about these things or doesn't experiment with its tones. So consistency is safety indeed, but in the end, this is an 8, but it's endearing to me because I can see all that effort and how much thought was going into some of these scenes, but didn't quite meet what they really were going for, hence, my expectations too. So, I really cherish that they tried and that makes the drama all the more to me. So, it's an 8, but it doesn't show how much love I had for it. Because of this, it ends up feeling like I underscored it. I actually think a lot of people do this too (maybe subconsciously?), and this is why Cdramas have higher ratings on average than Kdramas on MDL. It feels like an older kdrama, and I love that about it. Maybe I'll bump it up to an 8.5 later? We'll see
I liked the drama but too many characters were underutilized and too much of the plot was resolved before it got…
I will be thinking about it because the characters are so warm, but it definitely resolved issues too shallowly. It lacks excellent execution, but is pretty good all around
I wish they got to spend time together like a reulaf couple but itās fine. Itās just a little sorry because I know how much they wanted that. Iām a little hurt but Iām glad that they still had their relationship and I guess got together traditionally later on- maybe 15 years?
plsss they're sooo cute!! the way I gasped when he already confessed in ep 5 lol š woojoo is super cute, those…
I was like oooou I didnāt know you could be so sincereš he was so straightforward and didnāt let his feelings stay buried for too long. I thought that was cool
In Episode 13, everything from the moment he woke up from his coma (11:13 mins-12:15 mins), the lighting, and the white of the hanbok, the emotions portrayed in the moment, the gaze, the thoughtful putting away of her hair - made me go "MSM, I see your future, and it's bright!!!!". šSo silly, but that was literally the thought that came to my head. Has to be one of the best-directed scenes in the whole show.
I also have to say š¢ I couldnāt stop thinking about Junhoās portrayal of Yi San in The Red Sleeve. It is…
That performance is what I like to describe as Jun Hoās lifetime performance. The Red Sleeve is still my favorite. I canāt help but remember that sometimes while I watch this too. The FLs are both stubborn in a similar way too. MSM is okay so far and improving steadily. His acting used to be pretty weak imo so Iām pleased to see progress. I hope he gets better and better and better so I can someday see such a performance from him. So far the staff on this show have done pretty good all around. Though the writing, acting, and directing arenāt as stone solid as TRS, Iām still happy I picked it up

Yeol is so romantic though, damn. Such a solidly romantic person. So darn cute.
My favourite part of this has been the core story and character design of the two leads. I'd read this story if it were a book in a heartbeat. I'd love the characters and story it more fleshed out than its been done here
