First off, I think you missed the memo. We’re deliberately choosing questionable characters. Yeah, we might joke about being simps, but the whole point is having our friend break those delusions. These male leads are sold as the “ideal guy,” but come on, we’re not blind. We know that first, those happy-go-lucky relationships don’t exist IRL.
You ever watched No Gain No Love? The 2FL was an adult writer—bet she’s not your version of “pure and respected” either, right? I mean, you’re coming at us like we’ve got small-minded mentalities, but the way you’re talking, it’s like you’ve had it with all women altogether.
Enny might let this slide, she’s too busy attending *A LATE NIGHT CONCERT*. But delulu me? Nah, I’ve got time. If our choice of words reflects our mentality, so does yours, bro. We’re on the same boat now. The moral police are probably already on their way.
I get that fantasizing about toxic stuff needs to change, but your approach? Nah, that ain’t it. If anything, the real change comes from being a green flag who knows how to be polite, not by throwing shade at two girls writing a fun article.
Also, I’m kinda shocked you didn’t get the K3G reference. “Good looks” ring a bell?
And yeah, sorry for sticking to mainstream shows. College has me too busy to go treasure hunting for the rare ones.
This article was meant to be light-hearted and fun—a little chit-chat session with the girls, sharing a few laughs. The male leads we’re discussing are the central characters in these dramas, and, in a way, the shows often present them as ideal figures. But what we're really doing here is playfully challenging each other’s picks by highlighting those red flags.
I’ve watched and loved almost everything, so I’m sure I’ll enjoy the rest too. Such a treat—thanks for putting this together!
I need them back in a rom-com, like a proper rom-com! The scene where she snatches his wallet and run away was adorable af.
Idc if they gonna make a rich CEO drama again, I just need them in that and it will be perfect.
Fr, wtf was that???
I can list 10+ items they missed as a viewer and they couldn't even think of 2-3 as the makers? Soo disappointed
I’m so happy to see the mention of Garuda and the Nagas. I read about them years ago, and it was refreshing to find them included here as well.
Losing a mother is a huge thing. Umi was brave, but she was also written too mature for her age, saying things a kid usually wouldn’t. I feel for ML; he has to sacrifice so much. Even though taking care of his daughter was the best decision, I would have loved to see him explore his own happiness as well.
Editing was cool tho ~
Watching it with a friend made it more bearable [we were laughing non-stop], but there's this awkward focus on the female lead sexualizing her crush’s personal items. On top of that, there's no character development. You never really understand why the male lead falls for her. Both characters just act like they have deep traumas and pretend no one else could possibly understand them.
Second, where was the backstory? Like, there was NOTHING. The overbearing parents plot? Wasted. ML being CEO? Wasted. Where was that CEO energy? Dude didn’t even look rich, like, what happened to that billionaire vibe? He literally came back home in an ambulance-looking taxi. Buy a car, sir; you own an IT firm. If the CEO of an IT firm looks like this, I don't know why my fellow engineers are working hard.
And bro, the 2nd ML? He’s straight up acting like one of those 2010 Facebook guys who gets mad at you for not eating on time after one conversation. It's like, dude, calm down.
But seriously, why is our talented ML stuck in these cringey romance plots? He needs better scripts ASAP.
Kisses were good ig so +5
