The young versions of the two Luo brothers were so precious!
Yes! It was a beautiful scene when the older brother „explained“ to the little one about going to the capital and broadening his horizons etc. well done!
Just starting this. You recommended me some other dramas on one post here but for some reason I couldn't get into…
I loved The Demon Hunter’s Romance, for the main couple, for the side characters, for the philosophical questions/themes … it’s undoubtedly the better drama compared to UtP and yet I don’t feel the urge to rewatch it, but I love rewatching UtP. The dynamics/chemistry between the leads is just so addictive and I love RJL‘s performance here so much. I also rewatch Love of Nirvana sometimes, his performance there is also outstanding, but UtP is more of a comfort watch and I just love Lu Yi. He’s one of my favourite characters ever. And I love how in this drama you can laugh about a comedy element and next you know it I have to fan myself because his eyes express so much steam when looking at JX. The side characters pretty much remain as they are. Of course their story develops. Liar Lan has a lot of character development, well it was always there but they didn’t show it earlier.
I am back here because I can’t move on from this beautiful drama a there is nothing else airing right now that…
Have you tried Fate Chooses You? It was a great watch! Quite different for a Xianxia. Little romance but great fighting scenes and addresses deeper themes. Today airs Yang Zi‘s the Heir. I will try that.

Hi! I remember recommending Love of Nirvana but I forgot what else I recommended 😊 RJL usually chooses very well written scripts and I love his acting! Under the Power is an older production, so of course the effects are not as good as today’s dramas. But the cases are interesting and the romance and chemistry are on another level. His eyes 😍🔥
At first I didn’t like the ending. Now I rewatched it and even though I still don’t like that they wrote the story like that I must say it is very well executed. It’s very emotional and beautiful because of Chu Ying. The emotions he expressed on his face, particularly the relief when he saw Xin Mei because he knows she’s good for LQQ and LQQ is everything for him, that was very well done. Beautiful scene.
1000% - Bai Zhong Ying had the most interesting arc, IMO. From pseudo-villain to ultimate hero. A character you…
Agreed 💯! I think what could make him appear „shallow“ to viewers is that he had so little screen time. His story seemed a bit diluted due to that imo.
The irony is many Xianxias are meant to showcase a good message no matter what the end is, the underlying message…
Could you name example dramas that glamourise abusive relationships? The only one that comes to mind seems to be Pursuit of Jade. I remember people raving about the toxic character. It’s a problem when the audience wants to see something like that and the industry takes note.
He is alive but his character dies. Idk why they say it’s a HE.
Technically it’s still him though. I mean it’s still his soul and innate character traits will still be the same. And maybe they’ll find a way to restore his memory some day. Agree, I liked the drama a lot but not the ending.
The heir is very good so far, very serious.
Today airs Yang Zi‘s the Heir. I will try that.
