Lost you forever is one of a kind too, mainly due to Tan Jian Ci as Xiang Liu imo. After the scene on the beach where they talk about entering one’s dreams, I cried every time he came on screen, really.
I enjoyed WDBTD a lot! Sometimes I love angsty stories but this didn’t have any angst and it was very refreshing. It was a beautiful story of a love that transcends time and place. It was very romantic and intimate. And not just because it had many kisses but their soul bonding and the physical kisses were portrayed in a very intimate and beautiful manner. Arthur is brilliant, even though not as good as in L&P, but Sima Jiao is one of the best MLs ever 😍The cons for me were that the villains were one-dimensional and not interesting and the story was ok.

Agree about GJ‘s character building. But as you said it was a love/hate relationship and in general he was depicted as a decent guy. But then he was so evil, he wanted to send Li Xun right back to prison and he kept stealing games from other companies… But then versus the end he seemed decent again and all he wanted was Li Xun to show that he cared for him. It didn’t fit imo.

I thought the same. If it were an in the moment reaction ok, but it was planned! Also Li Xun doesn’t seem to be the person who would throw their future and the company he just founded with his girlfriend away like this. He was so serious about the cancer 1% thing. He wouldn’t do anything stupid like that. But maybe hacking carries a longer prison sentence, idk. Anyway that was very unsatisfying.
Also the way they portrayed Gao Jianhong was unsatisfying imo. It’s hardly credible that he would be so evil all of a sudden and in the end not be evil again.
It was still a 9.5 for me too.

Li Xun obviously was the role of his life so far. Chen Feiyu was perfect in that drama. But a grandmaster in a Xianxia cannot compare to a college student. I think he portrayed Sima Jiao very very well, I cannot picture a different actor as Sima Jiao. Also in the demon realm I could really feel his emotions. The only little gripe I have with his acting here is that sometimes he gave the FL a kind of smile that didn’t quite fit. But I think it’s the director‘s job to tell him what to do instead or for which effect to go.
