I watched both too and I totally agree with the points you made. Wang Ying Lu brought all the emotions to life, she did a great job here, especially from the second arc onwards. In the first few episodes there was not much room for her acting as it was just the way the character was written. And Chen Feyu! He did an amazing job too, his voice acting in particular is top notch. Also agree on the points you made about the story of both dramas.

I‘m rewatching too ❤️ … now at ep 9. The romance in this drama is really on another level. And I don’t mean just the kissing scenes, which without doubt are well-made, but the glances and touches and the way they care for each other and communicate etc. Also the concept of the „soul manor“ takes the romance to another level, very well done!

I agree with you. Love him as snake and am disappointed with his human form. The actor did fine in Love of Nirvana because there he basically just had to maintain a calm mini smile in all episodes, but here he is completely miscast.
