Well said! I wrote in an earlier post that I wasn’t satisfied with how their relationship is being portrayed. They don’t show us enough romantic scenes, and I don’t mean physical but emotional, like the one under the stars. Or even normal couple scenes, talking, laughing etc Something that makes us connect to them as a couple. Maybe it’s because they had to cut so many episodes. I agree. I thought this was maybe due to the cut episodes? It feels rushed. If their breakup is imminent I feel they didn’t show us enough of them being a „couple“ to connect with them as a couple. And I don’t mean physical stuff, but emotional moments like the one under the stars.

I have only watched 4 mini dramas in total. I found the other three to be superficial and very similar but Affinity is definitely one of its kind. It explores many themes imo. Of course not in depth, unfortunately. But I wasn’t talking about depth, merely about kissing scenes 😅

I see what you mean, but I think this scene highlights the difference in their feelings/thoughts towards their relationship. I think he doesn’t even think about the fact that she would never be able to afford skiing because he wants her to be with him and he can afford it for both of them. While she thinks about being alone.

I don’t think there are many kisses in this drama? In general I think they don’t show much of their romance. It went from the hesitating period almost immediately to the problems and misunderstandings.

The drama doesn’t make it clear as also Luke‘s friend said he would take care of sending flowers to her, if I got that right. But I‘m positive it’s the roommate.
The people who put all the blame on Luke, I couldn’t disagree more. It was her from the beginning who set this whole relationship on the wrong track by just secretly leaving after their first night. I know she didn’t do it on purpose, it was what she thought was the right thing to do according to her assumptions of him and the world in general. Luke is lost in the feelings of first love. He‘s completely out of his depth and has the emotional issues that his family/father caused. He wants to be with her but doesn’t know how. So he accepts all her terms (easily). Of course both don’t communicate what they really feel because they’re afraid of many different things - losing the other, confessing feelings (of love, of insecurity, of jealousy) and then not being treated accordingly, making a bad figure, losing the job … Their flaws and experiences and assumptions make this whole situation spiral out of control.
