i dropped this drama bc i got story fatigue, but for the first 16 eps i kept thinking it really has some of the…
It's honestly not worth it to try and explain the entire "how" because it was so full of plotholes that writing it out would sound ridiculous. But in "the end" she goes to kill herself with a character destroying knife but he takes it and kills himself. This wipes every instance of himself out of the story (think what happened after the glitch with the sachet writing her out but MORE). This happens at their house (which itself is a plothole never adressed but whatever 🤣) and she passes out as shes forgetting him. Then we see FIVE YEARS LATER and a bunch of scenes about where people are now and she gets to walk to the house this time after that healer talks to her and she looks at the paper and despite it being canon that SHE was the one that was given the ability to make changes to the world by the Author... he had drawn himself on that paper and her looking at it had him come back to life as if he'd never left and yet knowing what she'd done 🤦♀️😆. Personally I saw it and was like "okay this took you FIVE YEARS? How did you wake up in a strange place (assumably) you've never been or seen before and not look around and find the paper immediately?" Other points were that Luo Li was also a character (duh) and Zhou Nanzhi knew about the loops from the beginning and somehow never lost HIS memory during any reset and was always awake during every loop and was forced to kill her on their wedding night each loop because he loved her and wanted her to stay HER and knew that if he didn't kill her she would dissappear and become someone ELSE who was the same character but not HER. And yeah... that was another thing... he revealed that it was IMPOSSIBLE for her to live past the end of that wedding night when she was supposed to die in the comic because that's when her story ended. If she DIDN'T die she would be erased because there was no more plot for her... So ALL of the first loop where she is fighting to stay alive and manages for several days? Yup... that's a MAJOR plothole the same as the fact that in that first loop they went to the palace and did the sachet and Emperor/Empress plot AFTER the wedding but then after the reset this apparently is a plot point that happens BEFORE the wedding... 🤦♀️ And I'm going to stop here because the beginning was fun and then they made it a mess and I get angry again.
Hi! Got any links to his new drama with liu haoqun? I think the Chinese is 请把我的人设立住 .
If you are talking about his BL it started airing 3/20 on the Kuaishou app (no subtitles) it updates daily. To watch you would need to download the app through an app and then search with the name you already have and the series will pop up. Kuaishou dramas 'generally' don't end up on public Youtube and usually require fansubbers.
Found a YouTube version that had good subtitles (even if they DID overlap with the original Mandarin ones...) but they do cut out and then come back delayed a few minutes later near the end (It's rather easy to figure out what was said in those last minutes though since it was rather obvious based on what's shown on the screen).
💀 I've completed this. I'm sure some people will be very happy with the last episodes... Personally 🤦♀️🤷♀️ I don't know why I was expecting they were going to somehow plug all the massive plotholes and not just make MORE in the last 2 episodes... 😮💨
Doppelganger was 100% better 🤣 - I still stand by that show being best watched going into it blind - this one was so bland the "middle" part twist couldn't even be obvious because it felt like they made it up just to make SOMETHING happen... and FBS well I've predicted almost everything that happened before it happened.
I finished it and can't even use my brain to choose something new to watch so I'm reading a book instead as a palate cleanser... Cough... I also binged 24 episodes of Fate Beyond Script and am waiting for the last 4 episodes of that... hint: Not impressed there either 😅🤦♀️
Well I finished it so I'm counting this as a win as this is the first mini I've actually finished this year (even if it was through sheer will power alone).
Gone from YouTube - now on Reelxia as Rise of the Thug 2: Power CourtI want someone to watch the 4 hour Part 1....…
Not yet because Part 2 is only available on Dailymotion in 4 parts because of length... But some kind soul left a comment about how one of the parts was MISSING so there's an entire almost 2 hour segment that you'd have to switch over to the raw version for and 🤣 I don't have time for trying to cobble together what's going on for an entire 2 hours 🤣🤡.
I'd have to rewatch it with the Iqiyi subs to see if I somehow missed a detail about being an interim head of state but generally an Emperess wouldn't just suddenly know how to run court since she runs the harem. But even if for some reason she did take over briefly until one of the sons became Emperor the guideline of whoever marries the daughter becomes Emperor and there's two daughters and two sons is... 🤡. At what point do you call it which son has married the 'correct' daughter and name him Emperor? (Assuming of course that none of this extra drama details ever happened and it was just 2 sons marrying 2 daughters 😆)
His name is Sun Dan'en 孙单恩 - he also plays in The Daily Life of a Spoiled Princess, Inviting You To the…
He has clips up on Douyin about being the Crown Prince and then once I found his name I found him through Baidu and Douban listed for those projects above
A loose adaptation this version cuts off what would normally be the last act or two and makes almost the entire drama be he not knowing who he is. That said, I felt this is THE most romantic version of all with the directors choices of camera shots and script changes making for a more involved ML. It's made more obvious that he's protective of her and interested in being 'more' with her within days 😅. This version probably the least frustrating of all versions.
This version was very good despite the ML giving off more of a 'love-sick prince' vibe than the other versions more 'mature and untouchibly regal' vibe. Best benefit of choosing this version over one of the other adaptations is that it actually follows the story into the Capital and palace and gives an answer to her past.
This version of the storyline is less of a straight adaptation and more of an inspiration as it changes some characters while removing or adding others (such as there being no Song family storyline but instead she has a non-blood 'sister' that shows up at one point that helps set the tone for later. While this version is VERY different that the others I felt it had the best story flow and best highlights the betrayal arc and why she can't handle it. That said... like all versions there are still a LOT of plotholes, and this one definitely has more of them than the other versions.
While this version doesn't feel as "romance/chemistry" driven as a few of the other versions of this storyline, my opinion is that it gives the best satisfying depiction of justice for the antagonists involved in the storyline.
