I started watching anime with DBZ when I was a kid with my two younger brothers. Then, when I was in high school, my best childhood friend and I had a falling out. One day, she said she had a video to show me and invited me over. We watched most of Ouran High School Host Club (the anime) that day and our friendship has never again wavered. From there I got into manga and eventually watched Hana Kimi as my first live action. 

It was ridiculous. And at first I considered getting my head examined because I was so weirded out by it but couldn't stop watching it all at the same time. Four years later I'm watching dramas all the time (though I mostly prefer watching ones from South Korea). I have even been able to sucker my husband into watching a few with me (his favorite is My Love from Another Star). 

So, as a writer and a stay-at-home-mom, I enjoy a good drama at night to wind down or a melodrama marathon when baby and I are sick couch potatoes. I don't watch any anime anymore because it's hard to find one that's not totally inappropriate. The same thing goes for American T.V. Which is why I LOVE K-Dramas so much! Most of them are fun, innocent, and heart wrenching in all the right ways without being explicit. So nice to not have my eyes violated in the first ten minutes of a show!
