Are the misunderstandings of the type that make you want to punch all the characters? xD Because I really dislike it when everything goes downhill just because they cannot freaking TALK like normal people. *facepalms* It looks really interesting, so I want to give it a shot, but i am hesitant
This show was really refreshing! I loved Cindy and Baek Seung Chan the most, they had such interesting personalities, and I found Cindy's circumstances and story played a major role in the drama. I thought they had the most adorable scenes together as well ^o^ I really hope we'll get a second season, focusing on Baek Seung Chan having his first own show as a main PD. While a bit lacking in romance, the drama was very funny and gave an interesting view in the world of entertainment.

Ah, I do admit, though, Ji Sung did a phenomenal job acting out his character in Kill-me-heal-me, he totally was worthy of that award as well. Even so, just because a role is more 'complex', doesn't mean it is harder to portray or should be held in higher regard. Beak Seung Chan might appear to be a 'simple' character, but Kim Soo Hyun truly brought him to life. There was not a moment where one would think he was acting out a role, not a moment of inconsistency in his behavior and expression. I do come from a theatre and acting school, so... I am just saying this because I am somewhat upset with people writing malicious comments (I'm not saying yours were, you were really respectful) instead of acknowledging that each of the actors portrayed a different role outstandingly.

I wonder what makes you say that Chae Tae Hyun was the 'main' actor, when there were four protagonists in this show, one of them being Baek Seung Chan. In fact, Kim Soo Hyun probably had more screen time compared to CTH (I am just guessing, but he was involved with all three other lead characters, so he appeared in considerably more scenes). Also, in this drama, KSH's and Cindy's characters were the ones that were shining most, which made for a greater challenge in acting. I don't think receiving awards should depend on seniority, either. As an actor, I thought KSH was really great in this drama, so I think the award is well deserved. :)
BIG SPOILERS!!
I do have to say, I am a bit disappointed about the ending, though. It was really abrupt and left me feeling somewhat empty. Even though Sam Dong already predicted it, that it would become a lonely path.... seeing him that way was really sad. He should have been there with his friends in the end. And what is really dissatisfying, even more so than the unfulfilled romance (I mean, we can still dream that eventually he goes to her to get that phone strap back ;-)), is that he was always presented as the musical genius, but we barely got to see him in action. His talent for composing and singing, it was always only mentioned, when did he even get to prove himself? Even his final performance was cut. They should have made it really epic, then I'd have been more satisfied. This way, I feel like we were cheated out of witnessing his true talent, if that makes any sense? So yeah, in that aspect, the drama was truly lacking. I understand he was the only actor in a group of idols, but it's still disappointing. Ahhhhhhh, I need more singing Kim Soo Hyun in my life hahaha.
This drama has so many flaws, that I don't even know where to start. Their unprofessional performances, awkward editing and writing, time-skips that make you go like wtf happened, even hair seems to grow magically 20 cm overnight.... i could go on and on. xD But, the weird thing is, despite all these flaws: I really, REALLY LOVED IT. It's just a drama that makes you feel like anything is possible if you just have the passion and perseverance for it. In an artistic environment, you really need it. So, even though this is clearly an idol-drama and very lacking compared to many other productions, I can whole-heartedly recommend it!
Not ashamed to admit that Kim Soo-Hyun is my Nr. 1 idol-crush, and I seriously cannot wait to see him in a badass role like this. It will be really interesting to see him out of the comfort zone of his usual naive and outer-worldly role. I hope this movie will be as good as the plot and cast make it out to be. Fingers crossed!
Beautiful movie, worthy of Yoneda Kou's manga. While I agree it is best to read the manga beforehand, I cannot say it was dull or boring. It's a beautifully produced movie, just different from the action we are used to. Take a breath and relish the quiet of this movie, then you will not be disappointed.
I fell in love with his role as Goo Yong Ha in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. He was so perfect for that role, omg. I couldn't stop chuckling and ogling at the screen whenever he had a scene haha He was the biggest plus for that drama. I really hope to see him in more leading roles. He has amazing acting talent!
I really didn't think I would enjoy this drama this much, but oh boy, I did. I think it's my favorite time-travelling drama so far, because it's not only set in one of the places, it is very refreshing. The acting was great, I especially have new-found appreciation of Yoo In Na, whom I'd only seen in mean supporting roles so far. I usually really dislike hysterical crying on screen, but the scene in the hospital and in the car were just so full of raw emotion that I teared up as well. Her acting made her pain so palpable. Also, Gim Bong Do's conflicting thoughts and feelings were portrayed perfectly. The chemistry between the two leads was also amazing. I can really recommend this drama whole-heartedly. Even though it has flaws (as every drama does), there wasn't a dull moment in this drama. Well done!
I was going to write the exact same article, what is this? Now I can't write it!!! ;_; Feck, I have so many 1.…
I see, well I still disagree, especially on the cliché love story (their talk about marriage and such definitely says otherwise, though I think it's in the latter part of the series), and the psychological aspect was in my opinion well fletched out. But in the end it comes down different tastes, so that's just fine. You must have something confused though, because So ji Sub isn't in this drama. The main actor is Jo In Sung xD
YWCFTS was my very first K-drama, so it holds a special place in my heart. I have to re-watch it one of these days, but I remember watching it in like 3 days and loving every single second of it. The comedy, the romance, the suspense and the high quality of production, I loved every second of it. Of course it had flaws (especially the nonsense ending), but by now I've watched tons of dramas and I still cannot find many that I enjoyed as much as this one. Also, Kim Soo Hyun, I could just sit and stare at that man for hours xD 9.5.
Master's Sun started out fantastic and then sizzled up in the usual clichés, unfortunately. I still enjoyed it thoroughly, though, so I gave it an 8.5.
Haven't seen Reply 1997 though.
As for dramas I think are overrated:
1. You're beautiful: Geez, seriously, how incredibly cheesy can a drama be? There were so many ridiculous moments in that drama, and I don't think the leads had much chemistry to begin with. What annoyed me most, was that EVERY GUY ON THE PLANET seems to UNEXPLICABLY fall for the heroine, even though they all think she's a GUY. Does that make any sense? No. And that Fairy Princess B*tch omg i just wanted to slaughter her. It had so much potential, but it ended up being so frustrating that the rating started going down and down for me. I'll never watch it again, srlsy.
2. Rooftop prince: I cannot really judge the quality as of yet, because I dropped it early, but it just didn't hold my interest. People say they were charmed from the beginning, i tried watching it twice, but it was a battle...
3. High School King of Savvy: Oh boy, that lead actress made me CRINGE. It was so-so-so painful to watch. It's like a car accident, you cannot do anything to stop it and you have to look at it but you just wished it wouldn't happen. How anyone can tolerate that, I have no clue.

I haven't watched any of those, besides It's Okay, That's love, but i'll have to veto against that one, because it holds the nr. 1 spot in my heart, ahhhh. Seriously, if you dropped it at episode 6, I can understand why you wouldn't be too impressed: This is when it just starts getting good. While I cannot remember being bored with it in the least in the first few episodes, it's one of the few dramas that develops its full potential in the latter half of the series. I cannot even express how much I love this drama. I've never cried much with TV shows, but, oh boy, did this drama make me sob like a baby. And laugh and curse and be at the edge of my seat. And they do have fantastic romance! I seriously hope you give it another shot, because it's such a unique drama. I love the leads for being broken and flawed, yet so strong-willed and uncompromising about what they want. Finally they are characters who feel real. I don't think i'll ever find a drama that resonates more with me... If you do watch it, let me know if you change your opinion, because i'm really curious!
Now, this was incredibly cheesy but super cute, I laughed a lot haha It was refreshing to see a drama with only 2 episodes, which avoided unnecessary and cliché plot twists. I love how the historical events were integrated. If I had to nit-pick, it was more of a modern take on history, especially the role of the king himself (like, doesn't he have any bodyguards? He can just roam around freely, the king and queen running away from the palace all alone and no guards anywhere? XD makes no sense...) but I guess it's what made the drama special and different from other historical dramas as well. Recommended for a short and uplifting watch :)
Ahhhhhh SECOND MALE LEAD SYNDROME, I CANNOT-- I love Seo In Guk in this, now my heart is breaking a bit ;'( I…
Hmm, I took a look at your list. I haven't seen I hear your Voice yet, but I've heard only good things, so maybe that if you're in a slump? Also, my top 1 favorite drama is 'It's okay, That's love'. You put that on hold, do give it a shot again! It gets better and better, trust me. It's one of the few K-dramas that starts out good and has its peak near the end, rather than it being the other way around (starting with a bang, but then sizzling out...). From the ones you haven't seen yet, I can recommend 'Marriage, not Dating' (although it has some clichés, it's very well produced and funny), King2Hearts (for some North/South conflicts anf action) and Coffee Prince (unconventional...). Do you have anything specific you're looking for, genre-wise or so?
This is really a loveable drama. Gong Hyo Jin's dramas have, for whatever reason, a very distinctive charm. Even though Pasta cannot be compared to masterpieces such as Master's Sun or even It's Okay, That's Love, it's still a very refreshing drama. However, be warned, if you don't enjoy cooking or competition in the culinary world, this drama might be a bit slow-paced for you. It starts out quite strong, but as with many other K-dramas, it loses momentum in the middle. The romance is adorable, but sometimes frustrating (what kind of couple starts dating and then takes forever to even just kiss??)
PROs: Fantastic lead actors, ESPECIALLY the role of Choi Hyun Wook was great. (In the beginning I thought he was a sexist asshole. But as time goes on, you'll find he is really consistent. He has flaws, but he's no coward, and all his yelling and scolding has its reason). Refreshing themes; no annoying and meddlesome parents in-law; lovable second-leads; funny supporting characters;
CONs: A bit too much cooking. Even though I really, really love to cook, i don't have to see the same restaurant and frying shots that many times; The kitchen wars are quite overwhelming at some point.
Anyway, very enjoyable, but not outstanding. It's down-to earth, so everyone who wants light-hearted romance and real-life working environment or who's been wondering what working in the culinary world really means: This is a drama for you. Gets a 7 from me.
Does Min Ha Ri end up with anyone? She is my favorite character so far, along with Kim Shin Hyuk... I don't care…
Ah ok, thanks for replying! I watched Kill Me, Heal Me in the meantime, and I think her acting is pretty much the same in both dramas. I can mostly understand it in KMHM, but I've decided not to waste my time on She Was Pretty, as I feel like i'd ruin my perception of Kill Me, Heal me. Especially if I feel she's just copying her own acting. PSJ and KJE had such great chemistry as siblings as well... Maybe i'll change my mind later on, but for now I'll pass on this one.
