So I have a theory… which is actually he didn’t succeed in staging his own murder….. he was murdered before he could do it. If otherwise it really doesn’t make sense.

In the similar genre I also liked Be Reborn, Miss S, Trace…. Trace was a bit borderline but I thought it was still worth the watch. Detective L was also not bad.

Huh. No. They found the money already! Unless I misunderstood that part.. which could have been the case….. they found the 40mil. Her legal charges were all dropped because the money was rightfully returned to all the lenders. But why did he even die?? Initially I thought I figured it out…. But then…. When I think carefully about it I’m not even so sure now.

Same!!! Esp when I found out it is just insider trading and market manipulation…… in some countries and circumstances there isn’t even any jail time, they just suspend trading license for x amount of time or in some cases indefinitely.
And I was like fine…. Nvm…. But the whole…. XYN piece I can’t even fully fit it in… but I felt that was just coz they overly condensed the last 2 episodes. I think her plot should have been complete just they edited the story-telling…

No, it’s not. It’s someone who is the mastermind, Fang is just one of the chess pieces. To me, I take it as they never caught the real mastermind behind it. That Secretary Chen which they randomly introduced very late in the series was his proxy.

Exactly! They totally killed my thriller plot. Like they didn’t even confirm who actually hired the ML…. Amongst a bunch of other pressing questions…. I scaled my rating back from a 9 to a 8.5.
Think it is a commendable feat that the script/plot touches on a lot of realistic issues faced by women climbing…
Also appreciate the last 5 mins of counselling advice/sharing of thoughts by a professional, it’s well presented and concise…. it’s common in the West but rather new in Asia. A good idea to incorporate it into a drama, pretty thought provoking.
Think it is a commendable feat that the script/plot touches on a lot of realistic issues faced by women climbing the ladder in professional and corporate workplaces whilst balancing their life outside of work. It’s quite surprising as much as it is over-the-top/dramatic…. But the topics touched upon are quite real especially in traditional and closed Asian countries even developed ones.
The building + street of the law firm looks so….. right. Reminds me of Wall St actually. Esp all the high ceilings etc. Wonderful choice, the set is so pretty though it is too….. chic and colourful for law firms, that bit is kinda unrealistic….. it’s a little too playful. So is some of Qin Shi et. al’s wardrobe.

Same! It’s endearing in a way, and I actually do know of a couple who broke up after going out for 7 yrs for similar reasons. Like his mother just doesn’t agree and dislikes her. And they broke up when discussing about the wedding etc.
I think the actor nailed the role though, and I can understand why there is still feelings. Because aside from the mother there was nothing actually wrong with the relationship itself. But of course I also think it is a tad ridiculous that the dude can’t manage his mother and it took 7 yrs to realise it.
