I just want to say…. The actor who played Gye Sung, Yoo Sun Ho is the most androgynous male role I’ve came across in TV-series…. He really…… really came across naturally as a female…. It was amazing just to watch…. extremely believable…. Like even when he is in his male outfit I kept visualising him as a girl….
Reminds me of Eddie Redmayne in The Danish Girl. But I didn’t think Eddie Redmayne was androgynous though, it’s just he was superb in emulating the posture and demeanour of a female.
Most cross-dressing or androgynous roles in dramas are a failure… like it just looks so glaringly wrong on-screen…..
Woah… Lee Dong Wook’s body 😧…. He really looks like a male fox. His hair colour and eye colour really matches….
It’s like the nuances and attention to detail given by the costume and wardrobe dept. is amazing for Korean productions. The colour tones, hair, clothes, complement of visuals between actors, between set etc…. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Obviously, he loves his mother since he does what she says.
LOOOOOLLL. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 there is a Chinese terminology for this… it’s like a slang which became popular in Mainland over the past decade… ‘媽寶’ which roughly translates as mama’s boy…
Are people enjoying this? I am midway ep 6.. and in neither episode have i managed to watch this in one go.. and…
Agree on it being realistic as much as it’s presented in a dramatic/exaggerated fashion…. The messages and social issues highlighted are really applicable and realistic for both men and women in this generation…. I.e anyone below ~45 yrs old..…
Zhang Tian Ai… 😍😍😍 The summary sounds so good. I’ve been patiently waiting for a female general TV drama… like a proper general… not just some supporting character…
But the crime plot was disappointing though, it’s kinda weak actually….. I’m even reading the novel now…
GJ is not important in the novel. It ends with RZZ going to prison. She killed XYN. Basically the end is irrelevant because even the crime committed was entirely different. It was related to illegal loans. Almost the entire plot is different and even the relationship dynamics are different.
Shen Nanqiu is a very attractive lady in the novel. Same age as XYN and it wasn’t a one-night stand, like they were in love with each other. But XNY doesn’t really love her the same way he loves RZZ.
Hence just……. Forget about the novel. I was quite surprised actually. I thought The Confidence was so different from the novel because of regulations. This one is the same but I’m sure this has nothing to do with regulations.

Lol. Was kinda shocked… the entire thing was too different. I read it because I wanted some closure…. But instead I ended up feeling more complicated and disturbed. 🤣 defo left me feeling superb unsettled.

Yea. I did it with a friend’s account…. Uhhhhhh… I don’t think you are missing anything. I think the drama was written better than the novel BUT….. the thriller plot was written better in the novel….. albeit a completely different crime…. In a way I kinda regret reading the novel…
This defo caught me by surprise…. Because I found the first few episodes very difficult to get through….. the chemistry between the 2 male leads wasn’t the best…..
Most surprising thing is the plot got more and more multi-dimensional and intricate as it progressed which is quite rare for C-dramas….. and the production budget is high…
Still can’t decide if I should give it a 8.5 or 9…. Will decide after I complete it.
She wasn't demoted, she was promoted to the 11th floor with being given 3 months probation before being decided…
Actually this was the part I probably FF and missed or I just didn’t get it….. so in very short her promotion is not confirmed yet, she is under probation and will be confirmed in 3 months as long as she stays or……. Will they call for another vote in 3 months to decide?

So it depends on wot you are after….
