When the movie finished my first thought was: "Well, this was pointless..."

The movie is completely disappointing. The "storyline" was like when you are reading a book and you accidentally skip a few pages and then feel lost, but this was like it skipped full chapters. The acting was sort of like a very bad makjang drama. I've seen some of the actors in dramas and this is not they usually act. So, maybe it was asked of them to do it this way. The housemaid, what did she do? What did she gain? I wish she would have done more, but I think she forgot and skipped right to the ending of her plan. The music was mediocre and forgettable. The ending... I can't even describe the scene since the only thing that comes up to my mind, for some reason, is that the "Addams Family" is normal in comparison to this family. This is a movie that shouldn't be watched once much less twice.

This won awards? Why?

A very badly acted, random drama with very few entertaining scenes and a nice song or two.

Story: I watched it because when I read the description, it "sounded" interesting. But having watched this when I was new to dramas, I was in for a surprise and not necessarily a pleasant one.

Acting/Cast: It was horrible. There was a lot of overacting by everyone.

Music: The music was fairly decent. I still listen to one song from the OST, "Bitter Tea".

Re-watch: I never plan on watching this again and I honestly don't recommend it to anyone.

Overall: I watched this when dramas were bright and shiny for me and when I didn't drop dramas. If had I watched this now, it would have been dropped by episode 2 at the most. Or more likely, I wouldn't have even bothered with it.

Overall: This is my favorite type of Chinese film, fantasy with a little romance and action thrown in. Most Chinese films have gorgeous views and this one was no exception. I'll admit that among those there were some that looked a little fake, but to be honest it didn't take away from the beautiful images it was invoking. It was like watching a painting move. Although, there was one scene which made me laugh a little when I'm sure they, also, meant it to be beautiful. ALL the costumes were gorgeous and these added to that moving painting feel.

Story: I love fantasy stories and this one as far as a story goes was great. This is not focused on battles and action, it is more like a Fairy Tale.

Acting/Cast: The acting wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either. It was just enough to keep you interested in what was happening on screen.

Music: The music was amazing and went great with the story.

Re-watch Value: Since this is a movie, it's very likely I'll re-watch it sometime in the future.

If you like action movies and you haven't seen The Man from Nowhere, I recommend giving it a try.

The Man From Nowhere blends powerful scenes with a touching story to create a great movie. The story will slowly and steadily build up to the action which will keep you at the edge of your seat.

The setting is dark which possibly hints that past, which has his neighbors coming up with different types rumors about him as it frequently happens when we don't understand something or something is unknown. Won Bin's portrayal of this mystery man is outstanding and solid.

So Mi's situation and story will captivate you and the little girl who plays her, also, did a great job with her role.

The other actors were also superb and they did a great job portraying dark characters.

The music helps the set the mood. And it never felt out of place or random.

I do wish it had ended a bit differently than it did.

There's blood and violence, if you don't like these two elements, the movie might not be for you.

I'll admit that when I first read the synopsis, I really didn't expect much from it. It even looked like an ordinary drama story, but that all changed as soon as I watched the first episode.

Story: The story was different and well written. The plot kept getting more interesting with each passing minute. Everyone involved in the production of it, cast and staff, knew just how to take it a notch up with each episode, which left me wanting more.

Acting/Cast: The actors did such an amazing job that I loved every interaction between them, even the ones I loved to hate (and there were a few of those). Jung Woo Sung playing the role of Yang Kang Chil was simply brilliant and he is a character I will not forget. Kim Bum as Gook Soo was also amazing.

Music: I loved the soundtrack of this drama, every song went perfectly with the moment and the story. It, also, helped enhance the emotions the cast kept throwing our way.

Rewatch: I would love to re-watch this, but it's not very likely any time soon. Not because I didn't like the drama and not because I thought it was average and not worthy of a re-watch. But because every aspect of the story, even the happy moments, were heartbreaking.

Overall, I give this drama a 10. I think it deserves it. It cast a magical spell which enthralled, amazed me and from which I could not escape. It is definitely worth a watch and make sure you have some tissue with you because it is a real tearjerker, especially towards the last episodes.

I have absolutely no idea what possessed me to start this drama since it wasn't even on my PTW list and my "On hold" and "Currently watching" ones keep growing each day. I'm also not a fan of Gouriki Ayame and I had never even heard of Kurosawa Ryohei. Maybe this is a mystery Shioriko and Daisuke can add to their lists.

The first episode did very well its job. It reeled me in with Daisuke's family mystery and it made me interested in its main characters. I really liked that both main characters had their own mysteries to solve. Then, the opening of the show rolled in and I was a total goner. I loved the concept of everyone being a book you need to read to know its story. At least, that's what I gathered from it.

I, also, really enjoyed the way the actors portrayed their characters. The chemistry between Gouriki Ayama and Kurosawa Ryohei was really good. And I thought Shioriki and Daisuke were awkwardly cute when they were together.

Although the drama is slow paced and has a really mellow atmosphere I think it fits. It helps keep up the mystery and suspense as Shioriko and Daisuke try to solve the mysteries they encounter in each episode. And even though each episode had a different story, it still had a main underlying one running in the background. For me, this made it feel a little less episodic.

The OST was also good. I loved the instrumentals, they seemed to fit the moment just right. And while I did hum and failed to sing along to the ending credits song "Never ending story... la la la.." I doubt, I will be listening to it anytime soon. Unless I rewatch the drama. I think that's the only way I'll listen to it.

There were some things that bothered me though. Why did she have to dress like a bag lady grandma just because she likes books? I tried not to let it bother me too much since I was really interested in the story. The other was the romance. Yes, there was some, but you had to use a microscope without blinking to get a glimpse of it.

The opening of the movie shows a shocking scene, which for me set the mood for the rest of the movie and helped grab my attention.

Story: Let's be honest, it's not original. I've watched, at least, one other movie where the witness of a crime is blind. It, also, falls into thriller movie cliches, which makes it ordinary, but that doesn't not mean it's not good. It's actually quite absorbing and you can't help but to give all your attention to it. Also, I love the camera work and the way they blended the world of the blind with the world of the seeing in some scenes.

Acting/Cast: I liked the acting. I thought the ways the characters interacted with each other were very good. I'll admit I had my reserves about it after watching Kim Ha Neul in "You Are my Pet". She had failed to impress me in it. But I'm glad I watched this. She plays a totally different character than she did in YAMP, and does a really good job of it. Yoo Seung Ho is quite impressive in it too.

Music: To be honest, it wasn't bad, but it's quite forgettable. But it did what it was supposed to do in the moment, accompany the actions and pace of the movie.

I'll re-watch this movie eventually since I really enjoyed it.

This was a drama I looked forward to every week because the story just beckoned to me. And although I am not disappointed in the ending since I thought it was just right, I am sad it came to its conclusion. I thought the story was great and I have to agree with "Joe" about the drama staying on direction and not being redundant.

The acting in this drama was very good. I liked how everyone in the cast played their roles from the very grouchy with a touch of sweet Eisuke to weird yet likable Ebina. I thought all the characters worked really well with each other. I also have to say, I really loved Mukai Osamu as Eisuke (he was my favorite character) and I wasn't even a fan of his before I started this. The only character I truly didn't like was Maria, but that just makes me think the actress did a good job. The OST was awesome and it gave even more life to the drama.

I plan to watch this again someday, but I do have to warn those who like their romance. This drama does not have an overabundance of romance, which made it perfect for me, but it does have its sweet moments here and there.

I have to be honest, at first I only started watching it because Lee Joon was in the cast and it was short. But I was given a nice surprise.

I don't think this was among the best things I have watched, but it was light and funny which is just what I needed after watching "heavy" shows for the past few days.

I, also, liked Yang Mi Kyung in this. I loved how she played her role of a housewife gone fan-girl.

The song which made the protagonist into a fan wouldn't be called a masterpiece by any standards, but it was very catchy and I found myself singing along whenever it was played.

I would watch this again since it kept me entertained and gave me a few laughs.

Nostalgic

This was such a great little drama. I had never heard about it before and I'm glad I came across it.

The drama features good acting, story, cinematography, and OST which pairs well with the story. The story is not told lineally and uses flashbacks as one of its main storytelling devices. I greatly enjoyed it in this show because all the regulars got a backstory and it showed how characters developed into who they were in the present. The ones who did not get a fully fleshed out background story, still received a little attention in the future. This was one of my favorite things as it really helped me care about each and every one of them. Even the most hateful one had my sympathy, for about 2 seconds, but still had it.

It was also interesting for me to see similarities in the way the characters grew up, going to the corner store, getting cheap candy and thinking it was the best, and playing in the streets with friends. The traveling grocery van Jun Long came up with is especially nostalgic. It brought back memories of "la guaguita del pan" from my childhood. Its main product was the bakery bread, but it was like a traveling grocery store. We would all run to the corner while yelling, "we we we", so it would stop when we wanted to buy something. The prerecorded message was similar too.

My main complaints are that, even though I enjoyed the flashbacks, they repeated some of them one too many times, some closures were half arsed, and that extra scene after "the ending" was unnecessary. Especially, if there is no season 2, even almost 5 years later.

Story: I've always liked Long's "Madame Butterfly" story. This version seems to be based on the Opera rather than the short story. Even then, it has a few differences, but it doesn't take away from it.

I thought the story was well played out. And although, it was not a terribly exciting drama, I thought it had a good pace and the time jumps were very easy to keep up with.

Also, I loved the way they showed different traditional aspects of Japanese life during that time setting and the way they managed to allude to some of the ones which were not shown.

Music: The music was great, it never felt like it didn't belong in the scene.

Acting: Miyazaki Aoi did a good job playing Chou-Chou, I think most of the Japanese cast was pretty good too, but the ones playing the American roles were a little stiff, although their English speaking was very good.

Overall, I thought it was a good drama and I would watch it again sometime in the future since it's only two episodes long and I didn't find it boring.

When I read the synopsis, the story line sounded like it would be interesting to watch. And I had even more interest in it when I read Song Seung Hun was the main role since I had liked him in My Princess. But this movie is lacking in so many ways.

The acting is bad, the music is forgettable and I just didn't feel the two main leads had great chemistry together. The editing was bad too. Sometimes I felt the scenes didn't connect well together.

I will not be watching this movie again.

I don't know about anyone else, but the reason I started watching this drama was Kim Hee Chul. Yes, I know he's not a good actor. BUT he's one of my two biases in Super Junior (Si Won being the other). He's also the reason why I even gave the group a second chance. "Sorry, sorry" is just not my thing... Sorry! Not really. I also like Lee Soon Jae, I think he's one amazing veteran actor.

To my surprise, "Flower Granpa" was really funny. I enjoyed it so much that I went through the first seven episodes really fast. The premise was also interesting and I liked that all the grandpas had their own concepts. I called them "grumpy grandpa", "cute grandpa", and... "delusional grandpa". And while Hee Chul and Lee Soon Jae were the main driving force which made me watch this drama, I ended up loving "cute grandpa" Kang Seuki the most. Although, it was kind of hard watching a grown man, who is old enough to be my father, around so much... pink. Did I just show my age? Jijiji.

But as it was nearing the ending episodes, it kind of went down a small hill. The story got rushed. The things Lee Joon Hyuk, grumpy grandpa, started to do made no sense at all. I mean, come on! He's supposed to be a smart police detective! I can't really say much more without adding a plethora of spoilers. Another thing which bothered me was the "main villain". Although I have nothing against the actor who played him, I thought he was too mellow. He didn't give me that "I'm a mastermind" vibe. I just wanted to smack him over the head and tell him to "straighten up" as if he was a teen misbehaving. I just couldn't buy him as a villain. *shrugs*

Although I thought "Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit" was really light and funny at first and I really enjoyed it, I have to say I was somewhat of disappointed with its last episodes. It became too over-dramatic and rushed.

I finished this one after months and months on my on hold list. I also debated, with myself, whether I should even bother writing a review or not since there is only one thing I really want to say and repeat over and over. But for the sake of reviewing, I'm adding two, maybe one, sentences more. Short review ahead.

This drama had all the elements, in theory, to become one of my favorites. It's supernatural themed, it had action, and the effects while not mind blowing awesome were pretty decent. But it failed to make it into my top list of awesome dramas I just have to watch now!

The dialogue... It seemed like they were reading their lines from cue cards the writers were holding up for them. There was no feeling/emotion behind the lines. I just couldn't care less about what happened in each episode. While the action was alright, I felt sleepy all through out the drama. Which basically means the acting was definitely not good and the actors failed to make their characters come alive.

How can an action packed supernatural drama about a ghost seeing detective be so frigging boring?!?!?! How? It's just beyond me.

Also, the OST didn't help.

Oh, look! It was more than 2 sentences.

Besides being completely disappointed (after waiting for months for it to be subbed), I was confused as to what was the point of this movie. I didn't understand why I was supposed about to care the friendship of these four women since it doesn't give a back story as to how their bond began and developed.

The acting wasn't bad, I actually liked it, but the story was completely ordinary and it didn't hold my interest. The music doesn't really stick with you either.

The only scenes I truly remember are the ones DongHo from U-Kiss is in and I don't think that was what was meant to be remembered from this film.

I won't be re-watching this movie.
