I understand not being happy but their criticism should be towards xinli for casting them but sadly actors get the most hate for just doing their job. Also we should see drama as a separate thing from novel cuz censorship won't allow many things but yeah they will dislike whoever plays this role

Because these characters are really beloved in china and true novel fans want no one to touch or ruin them. They have pictured the characters in their mind so anyone playing it can't live up to their imagination

Sadly both whd & mzy are getting bodyshamed and novel fans are throwing insults at them. Atmosphere is really messy and poor actors are getting hate just for being casted

Yes plot is never dull and repetitive. there is many layers to the story we are finding out slowly in each ep

I was watching ep 6 and i have a question: both main leads trust each other but why they are not communicating with other 2? Like initially they were suspicious that they can be transmigrators too and when they found out they immediately assumed that they are enemies and want to kill them but why all 4 even following novel script? Can't they just team up and not be against each other or it's the requirement to follow the novel and this aspect not shown in the drama??

Just watched ep 1 and really loving the comedy. It's refreshing and a fun watch so i am hooked

No actually big fans got internal confirmation on weibo that ME is approached to him & letter of intent has been signed (this is the rumor by credible accounts) so it's most likely confirmed but you are right that it's not 100% confirmed & he can still refuse to join the crew. However even if he has no drama signed now, gotd s2 can't start shooting immediately because script is not ready. Jol s3 also got announced back in June this year & still not started shooting. Xinli takes time & for s2 of gotd, they have to get the whole cast back so all of this will take time so i don't see it starting immediately but hopefully i am wrong & we will get it sooner

Yes it was announced on nov 3rd on weibo conference that s2 is in works but wang hedi will do few dramas before this starts shooting so we won't get it next year (will take time)

I don't like victimizing whd actually nor do i think this is a bad project. It's actually a pretty good project in a female oriented genre & i am sure he saw some good in it to choose it so i will support his decision but our difference is that i think whd status is higher than doing idol romance genre so him doing this now feels more like a side favor when he could have done something better instead where his character won't just be a tool (only 30% screentime & it's not ML story). You likely don't think that & it's okay. I am not here to make you change your opinion. Was just sharing different pov so we can agree to disagree on it

No i think gotd s2 would still have been made but usually it takes years for s2 to be made in China. JOL is the biggest success for xinli & it took 5 years for s2 to come out & s3 is announced after 1.5 year of s2. By that time, all the casting will have to change & the hype will die down & it won't be same. Wang hedi already has other male centric drama coming but gotd is special for him because he feels closest to xqa as a character & he love that IP the most. Also i was very respectfully giving my opinion but seeing your language, don't need to reply back. You can have your opinion & i can have mine. Time will tell who was right.

It has mixture of genre. Starts out as slapstick comedy with beautiful family bonds then focused on his career advancement. There is mystery,action, side romance. Initially things won't make sense but all of it is a setup for the main plot & at the end you will understand all the foreshadowing in the beginning & overall plot
