The writer did such a good job with the script. The pacing has been excellent so far.

I was concerned about that infamous period of lull often found in various c-dramas where the plot progression becomes stagnant for fluff. And, the first arc of this story is the part with the highest potential of it.

So far, the drama has been serving all the good stuffs of this arc without compromising the main plot and undercurrents. Changes to the novel are very tasteful as well.

Now that the main story is about to progress to the next stage, I'm totally ready for the ensuing chaos.

Yu Qian Qian's son did become the Emperor. He got deep relationship and care toward Changning throughout the story. And, it was implied at the end of the story that Changning will become his Empress.

In the novel, they did.

No. The novel tags are correct. Just that he's not at that yandere stage in the drama yet. (but, we can already see glimpse of it in the drama latest episodes)

Prince Changxin is a vassal prince with different surname, basically from the same country. Vassal prince are literally ruler of their fief.

It's really good so far. So many things to love without any big issues. The fact that drama can grip you in right from the opening minutes of episode 1 really helps as well imo.
