The writer did such a good job with the script. The pacing has been excellent so far.
I was concerned about that infamous period of lull often found in various c-dramas where the plot progression becomes stagnant for fluff. And, the first arc of this story is the part with the highest potential of it.
So far, the drama has been serving all the good stuffs of this arc without compromising the main plot and undercurrents. Changes to the novel are very tasteful as well.
Now that the main story is about to progress to the next stage, I'm totally ready for the ensuing chaos.
I read somewhere that in novel they will be future emperor & empress. Not sure if it's true. Correct me if…
Yu Qian Qian's son did become the Emperor. He got deep relationship and care toward Changning throughout the story. And, it was implied at the end of the story that Changning will become his Empress.
No. The novel tags are correct. Just that he's not at that yandere stage in the drama yet. (but, we can already…
ikr... just let him go wild lol. But, this seems to be the general trend in c-drama lately...
Heck, in another upcoming ZLH drama (Overdo), they seem to change the entire script that it's hardly the same story compared to novel. ML in that novel is just so toxic lol. Will get toned down for sure.
Did the role of the ml change? Cause in the novel the tags were 'male yandere' but here I see 'righteous male…

However, there's the possibility that drama may tone him down a bit for general viewers.
It's really good so far. So many things to love without any big issues. The fact that drama can grip you in right from the opening minutes of episode 1 really helps as well imo.
(And I've read the novel beforehand lol)

I was so hopeful till like 2/3rd of the story lol. The ending got me good.
I think that was a fitting ending though. They can't alter the ending without changing FL's character and principles.
I read it without noticing the Tragedy tag, and it got me good.

I was rooting for the kid couple so much towards the end of the novel, and was so happy it was implied as such.
