It's a happy ending. Political part is not that difficult to guess, it's as we expected.

The last episodes were focused mainly on the characters. All the characters got proper closures.

I was snort and tears even though it's obviously an HE. 😭

I could connect with all the characters, and felt so much for each of their endings. Truly excellent writing for the characters.

Finally finished! My heart is so full right now. ❤️❤️😭

For me, this is a perfect ending. Not every story needs to conclude in a similar predefined format to be considered 'good' ending.

This drama embraced 'imperfections' within human, and crafted a beautiful story out of it. They tried something new, and they pulled it off. It has now firmly taken a special place in me. I'll be rewatching this often.

It truly is a superb sequence. I'm enjoying it so much.

I don't like Mo Jingli from the beginning. But, at the end, though I still don't like him, I felt for him. He sure is a tragic hero in his own story.

How different are the drama and the novel?

nooo.... I saw a post on social saying early July so I was looking forward to it. Hope end of July is a rumour as well. xD

I'm at ep 3 now. Editing quality is not that good, but still able to make out the main plot so far. Looks like they cut out 7 episodes, which might explain the issue.

Plot so far feels okay-ish I guess. Still too early so hard to tell. So far, it feels like a light hearted cultivation story.

Some ppl said this is partly because this drama is also being broadcasted on national tv. Dramas being broadcasted there are usually toned down a bit compared to streaming only dramas.

I'm at ep2 now and came here to check what others think about the editing. Guess I'm not alone.

Li Feibai (the senior in question) seemed to have descended the mountain way before the events, and entered the Ye family 3 years ago to pave the way for Ye Li's return and plans. He's one of the few Lishan ppl who survived out there along with the senior who worked as steward at Ye Li's shop.

I personally don't like such meddlesome act either.

I'm just filling in the historical context, that MXY and Ye Li may not find it that offensive.

And if you are the type to cry watching drama, well... get your gears ready and be prepared. Both leads absolutely delivered their top performances of their career here.

It's very brief, and it's resolved very well. Their relationship afterward can't be any better. Better not spoil the details, so that you get the full experience.

Ye Li no longer leans on his lap anymore after he gets better. Gotta rewatch earlier episodes for it. lol

I think that's just some theories in the discussion at that time. I think there's no shenanigans going on with that.

Edit: Oh wait. You mean Ye Ying right. I thought Ye Li, lol. Yeah, her mom seemed to have some affairs. But, drama didn't hint anything else.
