Im gonna get a lot of heat by saying this, but i wish, even though its not gonna happen, that Gu Jin Chao ended…
I'm more than half way through the novel now. I know it's not gonna happen, but this is the first time I'm having such a serious second lead syndrome. Both male leads were so compellingly written so far.

Finished half the novel. So far it is quite intriguing. Hoping to finish reading before the drama airs. haha

But, I can already guess what kind of changes we'll see in the drama.

Dude, Hui Ju would have killed him if he proposed without camera (at that phase of their relationship)

I was wondering why I got an instant dislike as soon as I see QM's father. Turns out the actor played the main villain in AoS and I hated that character big time lol. The actor nailed his villain aura fr.

Now I gotta rewatch ep6 immediately. It's just like those classic fairy tales we grew up with, and beautifully done to boot.

By the book, that's the logical play. But it happens to be Huiju in this case. haha

SHJ’s character is epically savage and I’m loving that she’s teaming up with IA to traverse all the treacherous…
Now I can't unsee him as the Korean Clark Kent for the remaining episodes... 😂

personally the sml can probably give her the same status she is looking for so declining or her reasoning was…
Someone below pointed out that she doesn't want to damage SML's political career with the eventual divorce while the same divorce is nothing for the royal family since he's still the Grand Prince even after it.

I think it makes sense since she still doesn't think about marrying for love at this point or settling in a family life, and she's dead set on getting a divorce after getting what she wants out of the marriage.

The drama since the first episode has made it clear that Huiju is not a likeable character. Only in some instances…
And right in the opening of episode 1, we were shown that she dared to wear all red to the palace as well. So, she simply doesn't care about rules and customs. Only what benefits her matters.

I think her wearing all white also is in line with her personality. She's petty and doesn't take any loss. Since QM already doesn't like her, there's nothing holding her back to get back at QM either.

I also wish she stays crazy till the end because it's refreshing to watch.

I mean... I'm here to watch these cheesy troppy stuffs in bling bling 4k. So they are right on target at least…
I came back to Kdrama after 3 years and glad to see our old friend still alive and kicking. lol

Could someone tell me whether the ‘noble idiocy’ trope (‘I’ll leave you for your own good’) has started…
Sort of yes. But doesn't seem to last long (at least based on today's ending).

Wait she crashes head on into his car, but it was on the assistant driver side, how come his forehead is bleeding…
She rear ended his car with about 100 km/h. Not sure if it's enough to cause an injury though, but it's there.

And, she's also injured. If you looked closely, there's blood on her forehead.

This is my first kdrama in like 3 years. Loved it so far, especially at how crazy and unscrupulous Huiju can be. lol

FInished till ep5. Not sold on the leads yet, but the battles scenes are really well done and main plot looks interesting so far. Will give it a couple more episodes.

This is a 'me' problem though. Arthur Chen rarely works for me and it's the same here... I don't know what it is about him that feels off to me.

I'm on ep3. Will give it a try till ep5.

This is still a 10 for me because I will rewatch. There is a lot to love. And I know Qi Men was bad but I felt…
Same. I enjoyed every second of it. That's what matters for me at the end of the day.

I can certainly nitpick stuffs, but this is miles better than some of those adaptations out there so I can let things slide.

To add the other comment, if you liked her badass look in PoJ, you can check out Moonlit Reunion as well.
It depends on individual watcher, some likes him. Though, I watched it only for TXW. Her performance there is stellar as well.
