Can someone explain to me his whole speech about his clan and family? Maybe it didn’t translate well for me…
Gongsung family was once a prominent family, even producing two Empresses. But, the Emperor at that time couldn't tolerate Gongsung family anymore. Cue political machinations, and Gongsung family was almost eradicated with only a branch family surviving.
Hence, Gongsung family ancestors made a family rule preventing Gongsung family descendants from joining officialdom.
FL was trained by her father In the novel she becomes a great general too...they filmed scenes showing her growth…
Even though some readers nitpick here and there, honestly speaking, this is a pretty good adaptation in my book, even faithful to the source material. There are worse stuffs out there tbh.
But if you reverse their roles, instead of Li Huaian being knocked out, it's Chang Yu that got knocked unconscious…
Then, take revenge against the ones that hurt Changning? I think that's what she'll most likely do since she always directly addresses the source of the issue. She probably won't even blame Li Huaian.
Oooooh I've been wondering why I find her oddly refreshing. THIS is why.🙈Changhyu doesn't take 💩 from anybody.…
ikr, that's the kind of character flaw I can accept and enjoy. We've had many flawless characters... and I do enjoy watching them as well. But, Changyu is certainly refreshing and love her for it.
Changyu knocking ppl out doesn't sit well with some viewers. I can respect that perspective.
Though, for me, I would rather let Changyu directly knock ppl out than her potentially going on an endless monologue and preaching about moral principles to convince the other party like many of the characters we've seen before.
Plus, it's in line with her character. Direct, short, effective... consequenes be damned. A simple solution for a simple person. 😂
I wonder if Yu Qian Qian comes from noble family but ran away because she’s scared of Qi Min. If so, Bao Er…
Since Bao'er is the only son of Qi Min, his legitimacy to the throne is as strong as his father. It would be a different story if Qi Min has a legitimate son.

The show doesn't pretend to be something deep and delivering what it promised. That's enough tbh.
Even then, it's gonna be a pain to dodge the spoilers from the leaks on all platforms left and right for the coming days. lol
