I have now watched the Korean, Japanese and Chinese versions of Marry My Husband, and though this Chinese version has an interesting twist (used the entertainment industry as their common workplace), they didn’t do enough with it. I must say the Japanese version tops the list for me.

I agree, that comment at the dining table by Apo's dad threw me off so much, i just decided it must be a translation issue because short of your child being the absolute worst of humanity, no parent will be all smiles and vibes about the situation. They must have taken it as a character shift brought on by a near death experience... or maybe since their culture already accepts reincarnation, they emotionally allow for situations like this... regardless it took me a second to get back into the story because it was too wild to me.

They must have had specific kiss coaching because both couples being able to pull off esthetically pleasing deep kisses is rare. Reminds me.of when Joong Archen talked about making the kiss beautiful for the viewer... these actors definitely did that.
I might have felt sorry for him in some parts, were it not for the way his insecurities manifested as rudeness.
It's really that part (the rudeness because of insecurities) that gives the ick, but honestly that's possibly redeemable if there wasn't a neon green flag making every effort in the world...
