Let me tell you that all the super famous dramas nowadays don't come vlose to this one ib term of quality. I usually drop many dramas. But this one I would have watched more if possible.
Personally, I agree with banning porn because look at the countries which allow just about anything sexually related…
I can't agree more. I really am tired of K DRAMAS silliness. Maybe for 16 years old girls it it great but when you have already have had relationships how it is possible to relate to a K drama romance. I mean , the relationship they sell us as passionate love seem more like a relationship between friends. When you are in couple, you kiss the person and you have a degree of intimacy with her. No, all women don't blush and don't feel shy about skinship. I mean I don't ask for anything vulgar, and I still like a beautiful and slow paced romance. But once the main leads get together in K dramas, all the sparks are gone as they don't at all behave as a couple would do. I am gradually dropping K dramas and all Asian dramas. Chinese dramas are even worst with the litte girl high pitched voice that infantalize women. Currently I am into Victorian era movies like North and South . And even though they have been written more than a century ago, they feel more modern than Asian dramas. They are platonic, but they still are captivating and can make grown women hearts flutter. Those are romances done right. Without the childhood connection tropes (as if to find love, it it mandatory to have know the other person as a child, and being 30+ yold you still wait and can't forget the person you met when you were 10) . We find in all dramas with the tripping girl that always falls into the arms of male lead. I never watched Turkish dramas as I thought they would be more conservative and even more childish than K dramas because even though Turkey is secular, there are mostly muslims. But I am surprised that there is a drama with a lot of kissing in Turkey.
LMAO! Do Koreans really call Sex Education "Otis' Secret Counseling Center"? And then they wonder why their birth…
Why are you bringing up sex education? What does it have to do with Squid game? I agree with you sex is clearly taboo in their society and I am really going to stop watching k dramas as I am getting old for platonic romances and even romances with 30+ yearls old adults are platonic it is so ridiculous. And I am tired of the dead fish kiss.
I am sorry but I can't agree with everyone. It was so draggy and so cringy. At some point we can see the writers were running out of ideas so they just brought the villain from NK to SK. After that, the male leads dad sent his team to SK to bring him back . It was so obvious that it was the only idea the writers found to being the team to SK.then trained soldiers are not even able to find an adress and they sleep in a sauna. And then Se ri get shot . They turn it into an overdramatic melodrama when we all know she will survive. North Korea is so sugar-coated it makes me angry when we know people live in a dictature but all the ahjumas there look just like gossiping SK ahjumas. They dress and wear heavy make up. Full of botox. Except for the villain, every military man in North Korea look like righteous people. After episode 8 nothing happened it was only fillers. I was bored to death but I wanted to end it so I hung on. Hyun Bin looked so empty like a robot. The one dimensional character that we find in mangas. He was so plain. There romance was so cheesy I couldn't take it seriously. One moment my mom walked in and she cringed at how cheesy it was. The only interesting characters for me were Go seung Jun and Seo Dan but there was not much focus on them. But one good point for the sceneries in Switzerland. Even though those are my neighbours I only went to Geneva and never to the mountain. Makes me wanna go there it was so beautiful.
Korea is copying USA with their cancel culture. It is so ridiculous. I was bullied. But now I am an adult and I remember boys were immature when I was in middle school. I won't destroy their life for a petty revenge. Furthermore the consequence are much superior when it concerns an actor. The whole world will now bash him . Is it better ? I don't think so. All those people on the web that think they are justiciers. People waiting here to bash someone at the tiniest occasion because you think it is justified as according to you this person deserves it. Aren't you just bullies? Things you did when you were a child can now destroy a life decades later
I totally agree. Everything about NK is softened. And no, you are not the only one . This drama is nothing special. I believe that those who rated it 10 are really young or naive girl that are an easy audience. They don't see the trop of this drama . The emptiness of the characters. Of course the male lead has to from a powerful family in NK and drive luxury cars. They tried to give the fl some depth so they introduced her suicide request in switzerland . Done so poorly. The fightinf scene are cringy. When he rescues her.it is so cliche. So overdramatic. And let's not begin with the portayal of NK that is really scandalous in my opinion. To make such a positive description of this place where people live in dictature. I really am disappointed of k dramas lately. From It 's okay not to be okay to this...
I agree with you. It is ridiculous the department store. And even the outfit. They were all wearing well cut clothes. North korea seemed like a good place to live.everything was overdramatic. Even the romance was so forced. In episode 8 they suddenly were crazyly in love. It was not well paced. This and it is okay not to be okay are really overrated...
I never watched Turkish dramas as I thought they would be more conservative and even more childish than K dramas because even though Turkey is secular, there are mostly muslims. But I am surprised that there is a drama with a lot of kissing in Turkey.
