Okay, this has a lot of opinion and anecdotal evidence without actually supporting or backing up any of what the…
You are totally right japan is the most westernised country and Vincenzo the characters act as virgins when they are 30+ . It is tiring for a show that doesn't present itself as a teenagr show
I am trying once more this drama considering its success.
Firstly it is a really softened pshychiatric hospital. Patients are kinda polite. In reality psychiatric hospitals are not as lovely at is is shown here. It also can be a dangerous place.
Secondly easy trope in this drama : childhood friends. I am so fed up of this. It is so cliche. I mean, can't they meet as adults without having a childhood connection? As most people do. They try to give a real life vibe to this drama by approaching mental illnesses, so why use such cliche tropes that discredit the seriousness of the drama. Of course the male lead is still in love with the girl he met , it was 15 years ago but he never ceased to think about her. Please. .. I wanted to watch something with clever writing and those overused tropes just don't do justice to this drama that seems wanting to play the realistic serious life issues card.
And then another thing that bothered me was the way male lead was presented. Even when you are depressed and unhappy it doesn't mean you wear a poker face all day long. I don't like in dramas lately when they present unhappy characters they have to make them act all slack with eyes wide opened looking at the horizon and talking with a monotonous voice. Cliche once more.
And, do child book authors are this famous and earn so much money in korea? To have a horde of agents and staff. Because in my country except if you are Benjamin Lacombe, it doesn't pay much. I think we can say this job rarely pays up. And even when it does I am not sure it would be to the extent of living the big life as the female lead does with such a mansion and so much money to spend. This part as well seems so unrealistic.
Acting is good, female lead is perfect for the role, the autistic brother is good as well. But except for that I really am not seduced for now.
Still looking hate comments for this drama like ╮(╯▽╰)╭ I mean, if you don't like then be it. You don't…
Aren't you doing the same? Trying to find people who think like you. As for stating our mind about this drama, isn't it important to have a balanced representation on reviews? Everybody can't love it. As for me I watched 5 episodes and I don't like it for now but I will still hang on considering the recognition of it. And I will make and express my final decision when I am finished be it positive or negative
could have left out the rolling eyes emoji, seems kinda rude
I don't see why it is rude. The person is insulting anyone. It's this person tight to express her feeling for a drama/ movie. If the person find it boring' shoumd she be censured?
doubtful lmao...cdramas are selling a fantasy. usually stupid female leads are done as a way to advance the plot…
Oh thank you for those great recs. Honestly I am really tired of the high pitched voice. I like historical dramas. I don't really know if they are accurate as I really don't know history of China. But I still enjoy those as they tend to add other sub genres
