This drama, if it had a different ending it would’ve been beautiful. The ending was expected from the overall feel of the drama. If Kim Moo Young with his dark past and closed off, don’t care about life or anyone personality had been given a different ending, that would’ve been refreshing. Like in addition to him falling in love, add marriage and kids. From how he was and how he approached life and relationships to see him end of like that really would’ve been beautiful. Love the OST.
What? I was actually looking for this spoiler because I just finished episode 4 where he coughed blood 😔. I need a spoiler, I can’t go on…will the new CP be one of the grand princes?
I honestly do not get the whole slow pace thing for some, I thought it was good, the FL did say to the female antagonist that it was going to be a slow burn torture, the antagonists lives are falling apart and it’s subtle what she is doing but impacting them slowly. Yes some of her planning was not perfect but she was alone planning all of this against people with powerful backgrounds. For someone with her background and who had no one and nothing she is doing well. Looking forward to the second season.
I initially thought it was slow, I put it on pause on episode 10 and literally went to rewatch the donghua all three seasons and to my surprise realised that the first 10 episodes of the live action are actually the same as the donghua but I don’t know why the live action just feels so slow and it just lacks that depth for me that the anime has, it’s weird but I will try it again and push through as the comments and ratings just keep pulling me back to it and makes me have FOMO over the live action as the anime is one of my favourites
I think the crown prince is planning something. He doesn’t seem like a greedy for power prince. I think he is planning to expose Jin Mu kind of like what the brother of the king did in Moon Embracing the Son. Wants him to reveal all his cards.
It takes a while to get into...I too dropped it for a long time. Does get better!
I will persevere as well. My love and enjoyment of the donghua/anime version is pushing me. But I’m glad I’m not the only one who struggled with it but I’ll push through as well.
I know I am late in this series, I have put it on hold because I thought it can’t compare with the donghua but I decided to give it a try. But I’m struggling with it, on episode 9 now.

I keep on coming back to the comments to get inspired to continue watching, I’m on episode 7 and am struggling. I want to watch it because the donghua was beautiful, I loved it but I’m struggling with the live action.
Watch episode 2 again, it's explained in detail.Mama Jin agreed to save Bu-Yeon's body, but that required to kill…
I definitely need to rewatch episode 2, I can’t believe I missed that explanation, caught most of it but that whole looking like Naksu part flew over me. Thank you for explaining it again for me.
Can someone please explain to me I think I missed the explanation in the subtitles somewhere. How is Naksu BuYeon right now? It is Naksu’s body and Naksu’s soul in Naksu’s body so which part is Bu Yeon in Naksu/Bu Yeon right now? So when the mom resurrected her, what happened or what did she do to make her Bu Yeon? Are two souls existing at once? I understand Mu Deok and Naksu as Mu Deok’s body was Bu Yeon but here I lost the explanation somewhere
And there I was thinking it was going to be a happy ending now I don’t know and doubt it will be.
