I’m honestly still enjoying this season, yes it may be slow paced and nothing much happening but it’s sweet and tugs the heart strings and it kind of make sense for me, I feel it’s more realistic. Somehow I just feel that there is just a depth about it. Jang Uk is still healing and not really trying to get over his loss of his loved one or move on. Bu Yeon is basically three years in the world, she is so innocent and is trying to figure things out. The only concern is 10 episodes is not enough for everything else that needs to happen. And also agree with someone, Jang Uk should’ve been able to see that something was off with Mu Deok and should be investigating that.
Y'all want Baddass assassin Naksu but iam sorry to say you ain't getting her, yes she'll have power but this time…
She was already free of that hatred in part 1 when she gained her memories of Naksu as Mu Deok. When she gained her powers back she killed that petrified shifter to protect the one she loved, I think the moment she put that sword down from Jang UK’s neck and asked him what promise he wants to make, her life was free of hatred, when she accepted the fate of losing her power after the ice stone was removed from her and fully gave herself to Jang Uk she had already gained her freedom from hatred. Naksu the assassin’s killing spree at the end was not her doing or her choice she was controlled by the evil Jin Mu. In my opinion Naksu was already free of the hatred in part 1 through her love for Jang Uk and his love for her, she chose him over her desire for power. It would make no sense plot wise her regaining her memories and awakening the hatred she already conquered that in part 1, what would make sense would be her having hatred towards the people who controlled her to kill her beloved.
I honestly loved both female leads. I loved the slow burn love of the first season, it was realistic because of Naksu/Mu Deok history, she had a hard cold heart and Jang Uk eventually shattered it. It makes their love more deep. You can literally feel his pain of the loss of his loved one. And this season is vice versa, Jang Uk’s heart needs to be won now by Naksu/Bu Yeon, who is just adorable. Jang Uk just pulls the strings of my heart.
I liked how the previous season justice was kind of served, in a sense that the truth of the queen was revealed even though the real queen has an evil heart. But I hope they will serve it fully now, I hope the truth will be revealed, the evil people will be exposed and they get what they deserve and I hope the truth is revealed that Naksu/Mu Deok did not kill those people or Jang Uk and the real killer is exposed. Even though I still don’t think it will be a happy ending but I hope evil is punished and truth is revealed.
Just finished watching ep 22, it was funny and sweet. It's a good drama, I'm enjoying it. Very simple, very easy, romance was slow but I enjoyed the process. It's not a wow drama, nothing special about the storyline but there is just something about it that draws you and keeps you watching and waiting for more. I'm enjoying it. Your article is spot on. Nice one
THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN FREAKING OVER ABOUT IN HAPPINESS!!! I'M EXPECTING A LOT FROM THE BOTH OF THEM
Lol so much pressure. But it was annoying to see a great kisser basically kissing a board. For Yang Yang to have maintained that good kissing with no response is levels.
is anyone watching soul land??? i dont understand, did tang san die in the first episode and was reborn as this…
From some of the manhua and donghua (Chinese "manga" and "anime") I've read and watched that is based on a reincarnated MC, the reincarnated character always remembers their past life, it's almost like two souls in one body (but not really though, maybe more like they have a connection to the soul of the dead person, almost like they are the same person but a different person altogether...lol that may be a bit confusing but when you watch it you get it). Memories and some skills of the dead character are retained in the reincarnated body or life. So Tang San, yes died in his world and was reborn as 'this kid' in a different world. He remembers clearly that life, remembers and still has some of those skills, and some of them were locked and through growth and training and attainment of soul rings were unlocked. It's almost like in the different world he starts afresh, complete knowledge of his past life, but growth in the reincarnated body, powers and adjustments to the new world, as a different person but same or connected or one with the soul of the dead Tang San.
Damn , IS THIS SOUL LAND RIGHT ? From manhua n novel . I read all of the series until souland 4 . wowwww ?
If you are a fan of anime or donghua you should watch the donghua it is amazing, one of my favourite donghuas, currently reading the novel while waiting for new episodes. Hopefully they will do justice with the drama
I completely feel you. I love chinese historical but the length of them makes me dread watching it and even when I do start I'm always wondering if i can make it. Nirvana in Fire (which I love) was that drama with the names and characters, I was so confused at the beginning but gradually it became better. And the angst feeling of historical dramas, I can't deal! Chinese historical are heavy, they emotionally taxing. But I love them nonetheless. But it takes a while for me to start one. And I always need to watch a light modern drama after watching a chinese historical.
Slow burn romance, like serious slow burn. Simple, slow paced, uncomplicated slice of life drama. Your typical misunderstandings, wrong assumptions due to lack of communication was annoying but still didn't spoil the drama that much. I fairly enjoyed it and made me laugh out loud at times. It's not a great drama but not bad either at all. English scenes last episodes were really unnecessary and cringy as always.
Beautiful, sweet and sad movie but still such a beautifully wrapped up ending. You left sad but satisfied. This girl reminded me so much of Tiffany Tang. Eddie Peng ♡

I’m glad I like both the FLs. I liked Naksu from the first episode of part 1 and then I liked Mu Deok.

Oh when!? When!? So looking forward to this one. Am trying to sit still...while I wait...for a year...
Hopefully they will do justice with the drama
