Title Douluo Continent Spoiler
is anyone watching soul land??? i dont understand, did tang san die in the first episode and was reborn as this…
From some of the manhua and donghua (Chinese "manga" and "anime") I've read and watched that is based on a reincarnated MC, the reincarnated character always remembers their past life, it's almost like two souls in one body (but not really though, maybe more like they have a connection to the soul of the dead person, almost like they are the same person but a different person altogether...lol that may be a bit confusing but when you watch it you get it). Memories and some skills of the dead character are retained in the reincarnated body or life. So Tang San, yes died in his world and was reborn as 'this kid' in a different world. He remembers clearly that life, remembers and still has some of those skills, and some of them were locked and through growth and training and attainment of soul rings were unlocked. It's almost like in the different world he starts afresh, complete knowledge of his past life, but growth in the reincarnated body, powers and adjustments to the new world, as a different person but same or connected or one with the soul of the dead Tang San.

Damn , IS THIS SOUL LAND RIGHT ? From manhua n novel . I read all of the series until souland 4 . wowwww ?
If you are a fan of anime or donghua you should watch the donghua it is amazing, one of my favourite donghuas, currently reading the novel while waiting for new episodes.
Hopefully they will do justice with the drama

I completely feel you. I love chinese historical but the length of them makes me dread watching it and even when I do start I'm always wondering if i can make it.
Nirvana in Fire (which I love) was that drama with the names and characters, I was so confused at the beginning but gradually it became better.
And the angst feeling of historical dramas, I can't deal! Chinese historical are heavy, they emotionally taxing. But I love them nonetheless. But it takes a while for me to start one. And I always need to watch a light modern drama after watching a chinese historical.

Slow burn romance, like serious slow burn.
Simple, slow paced, uncomplicated slice of life drama.
Your typical misunderstandings, wrong assumptions due to lack of communication was annoying but still didn't spoil the drama that much. I fairly enjoyed it and made me laugh out loud at times. It's not a great drama but not bad either at all.
English scenes last episodes were really unnecessary and cringy as always.

Beautiful, sweet and sad movie but still such a beautifully wrapped up ending. You left sad but satisfied.
This girl reminded me so much of Tiffany Tang.

Yeah I hate that type of storyline but at least the lead liked her both before and after her "transformation".…
Oh ok, misunderstood you there a bit, sorry.

Not necessarily them exaggerating the weight as such but they exaggerate how they are, how they behave or act, how they relate to the world in general. I mean the chair breaking? Really??? Her falling on top of the guy. Her reaching for the food in the fridge looking like she's wearing tight spandex that are about to snap or something. Stuff like that, really?? Come on guys.

But the movie does seem like a sweet movie, and the guy does seem to be nice to her and liked her before and after.
Definitely will watch it still

Well of course South Korean actors will dominate the top list or the entire list since they have the highest viewership ratings.

Why do these kinds of dramas over-exaggerate plus sized people, like they are not normal or can't function properly in the world. Then you loose weight and straighten your hair then you are normal and function properly. Really annoying.

It won't affect your MDL account in its current form. We do plan on rolling out some new features in 2020 that…
Ok.
Thank you for the detailed, clarifying response.

Why was the romance not your cup of tea? Too much? Or not enough of it? Or too cheesy?
Thank you so much. I really am a sucker for romance, so the plot of the love/romance between the OTP can really make or break a drama for me. So thanks for the heads up.
And I completely second your elaboration on the kind of love you like.

Wow from what you just said, the trailer really is misleading. There is no hint of a love square at all, it made it look like it's just Luo Jin and Tiffany Tang. But anyway, it will take me a while to decide to watch this one, I'm not a big fan of love triangles, love square I won't even talk about. Obviously with Cdramas there's always that F/M trying to scheme to get the F/M lead or a potential love interest of the F/M lead, so I don't completely write off watching dramas with love triangles but I love it when the love between the OTP is inseperable, undivided, certain/sure and they get a lot of screen time.
I'm not completely writing it off though.

Edit: And on top of that it's a sad ending, ahh.

Oh ok. Thanks for the response. Was taking a chance with you having watched it a year ago. But you answered exactly what I was asking. Thanks

This was a lot darker than I imagined. The romance was also not my cup of tea. I will definitely not watch it…

You can stop at around ep 45 for happy ending, but the next arc features most fluff AND also suffered the most…
@ 15 episodes:
That helps me to know to push until which episode and not give up on it earlier if I struggle to get into it.

Wonder if that will make a difference for me personally who dreads watching overly long dramas, because you still want to finish the whole drama/possibly series to see what happens. For me I feel like it would make it worse. I prefer to binge, even if I throughly enjoy some dramas that I watch I do want them to end and I want to finish with it. Having to wait longer period for the next season, I wonder. I tried watching a still airing drama and almost dropped it because of the waiting. And there's some that are still on hold because of the having to wait, still need to go back to finish them.
