Yes, that's why I don't mind at all by the 'step by step' plot in this drama. I even feel that every character in this drama really feels alive, not only FL and ML. Even the supporting characters such as 2nd aunt, or 3rd aunt and 3rd uncle who only appeared for a few episodes, are imprinted on my memory.

I also like the 'step by step' drama plot, especially when presented with the right combination and proportion between sad time, happy time, tense time, and humor time. Even I feel sometimes this drama contains a lot of psychological elements too.

From episode 1 to episode 27, I found a lot of satire related to discourses about the patriarchal system in ancient cultures, gender differences, parenting, seniority, single culture (for example: Yuan Shen and his master Huangfu 🤦‍♀️🤭). And these things may still be sustainable today.

Part 1 is ep. 1 till ep. 27, right? Then part 2 will be ep. 28 till ep. 56. But the number of episodes listed on MDL, for part 1 and part 2 makes me 'fail to focus' 😅

I think the lovers friend of this drama still feel comfort to discuss here, perhaps for tomorrow's episode and the next it will be more crowded in part 2
