Ruofeng thinks himself too empathetic to be a good emperor, something which Ruojin is not since the whole kneeling in the snow for the medic to heal Ruofeng incident 3. Ruojin wants to become emperor while Ruofeng has his heart in the wulin world, he would not rule well as the emperor

I do wonder, especially now knowing BLDJ and YDZ were so close, why do we not see more interactions between BLDJ and WX? Was BLDJ avoiding him? What exactly happened to BLDJ between TBOY and DY? I feel that there is a huge chunk of the plot missing

The main plotline's just Baili Dongjun's adventure and his search for his love-at-first-sight aka YueYao lol. But yeah it's very slow, it honestly to me hinges a lot on Blood of Youth. Like if people didn't watch BoY already, this series would be quite mediocre
