Hi all, it's a minor thing, but anyone else noticed that the synopsis in this Bad Buddy page has been changed?
'Ever since they were young, Pran and Pat's families had a deep and raging rivalry — trying to one-up each other on everything. This also extended towards their sons. Comparing their sons' achievements and merits, whether it be academic or extracurricular — the two families left no stones unturned to outshine and gloat in front of the other.'
Just a few days ago, I still remember very well (since the beginning) that it mentioned Pran and Pat's dads had a deep and raging rivalry. It has been changed to families now :D
I watched shows like this when I was younger but all that intrigue and what not was too exhausting for me to keep…
Yes, that's why I mentioned that special episodes at least would be great way for them to show us this. For the parents to truly forgive one another and close the bitter chapter of their past. Some past wounds may not heal completely, but with will and reconciliation, it will prevent the opening of new wounds.
I want to see Pat and Pran finally having their meal together openly in their respective houses without the need to climb through the window anymore :D
Wait patiently for the specials or potential sequel. I am quite sure there's at least something planned for them.
It was quite heavily alluded in EP 12, with Wai and Korn both planning for marriage (at least engagement) with their GFs
And I mentioned before in one earlier comment how Pran's gift of liquor to Pat's dad in the Chinese culture (Pat's dad has Chinese ancestry) is equivalent to the engagement gift from the groom-to-be to the prospective father-in-law, asking for the permission to get the bride's hand for marriage.
You know what I love so much from the characters in Bad Buddy? That they are all good inside. And yes, while they are flawed and imperfect, Pat and Pran included, but they are all good, and reminded us that about humanity. Yes, there are people who are genuine evil, evil masterminds and all in our lives in the our world, but that's not what Pat and Pran's parents are.
(Even in the novel, with its more angsty version of the story, ultimately the parents were shown to be decent people, who were willing to learn to let go and forgive, and it took them years there to show that too)
I have just watched The Last Empress recently (Korean modern day monarchy fiction show), and gosh, while I enjoyed the series overall and the suspense it gave in each episodes, but the evil in some of the characters, especially the evil Empress Dowager is simply just unbelievable, rotten to the core.
I enjoy watching historical period (and some modern) drama a lot (especially Chinese and Korean ones), but those big budget productions with lots of episodes going above 50 and even over 100, has a lot of time to play around with angst and tensions, conflicts and masterminds.
Bad Buddy story is simple, but felt real, and it felt fresh, and it broke so many stereotypes and tropes that I lost count. And most importantly, it gave us good life lessons and to believe in what true love is about. That true love is loving your precious one, but at the same time also learning to love everyone else around you. True love isn't selfish, but ever giving to each other.

Note: Bad Buddy's first ten episodes have passed A Tale of Thousand Stars' ten episodes cumulative totals in ten months, and just below 2gether, is very likely to have the 2nd highest views of all Thai BL series (GMMTV and non-GMMTV) during their airing time.

Bad Buddy will still gain more viewers over time, so please come back to this page regularly. I will keep on posting this stats updates among others (will continue my Revisited with EP 7 on Monday)
Okay so I saw a post. Someone counted the times they kissed. 33 times. My god when it started airing I honestly…
I was just about to talk about that. And many of that came from the finale episode too! It was really amazing actually. Every single one is just full of different feelings and emotions.
Only upon 2nd watching noticed, that - when Pran flirtily said to Pat at the door “I’m delivering food”…
Actually I thought that would have been quite obvious! Pat really missed his Pran, and him immediately taking Pran into a tight hug confirmed just that.
And of course it's heavily implied what happened between then and the 'you served me for five minutes' scene later.
Actually if you hover over the 8.6 rating, the average rating for those who completed and are currently watching…
This is why I like it so much too, and the way they made it all just made it so much better. Ohm and Nanon were both stellar in their respective performances.
Unfortunately, they can never satisfy everyone. That's the reality. Nonetheless, I am very sure the vast majority of people out there loves this show a lot. Everywhere else outside of MDL it's overwhelmingly majority in love with this show.
(This Bad Buddy comment page being one of the healthiest in MDL speaks volumes. People tend to be overly critical here in MDL. I think that's a fact.)
Otherwise, it would have been rated M18 instead. And novels/books always tend to be more explicit than their series adaptation.
We can always leave things to our imagination and expand what we see in the series according to our own imaginations. 😁
I like the novel a lot too, but I personally feel the series has elevated this a lot beyond the already very amazing novel.
Whereas with PatPran (and OhmNanon) they felt just really realistic.
For those who like live English commentary during the show, this one may suit you :)
ATHChannel reaction (with English sub) for all of you to enjoy!

To those who know it, it's Pat and Pran's home :D
Of course, they can't be open about it yet (until we have any future updates from special episodes/sequel)
