Call me petty, pervert or greedy but I really need to say this 😭😭 When they went to investigate Touba Yan, SRQ helped LR hide. He touched her abdomen at that time when she was in that persian dress.

In the novel, when PWX told LR she's pregnant, he said "I'm not doing it for your highness, I'm doing it for my wife" *gently touched her abdomen and continued* "and my child". He then carried her bridal style and happily walked in front of people while carrying her, letting everyone see she's his and making LR blush. It was such a beautifully intimate scene. In the drama, he carried her right away and put her down indoors 😦 like sir, where is that scene. i lowkey felt robbed.

In the novel, she went mad and fell on the snowy ground. I don't think there was an ending scene for her after that

A lot of cdrama directors are so sadist omg bc i relate. The second arc of Who rules the world seemed subpar and so off track to me bc the novel was amazing and the directors decided to take the character names and do whatever they want but at least they had some issue with the producer so it was lowkey justified.

No, he didn't. The palace he was playing qin at had a secret escape passage. he escaped and left his SRQ identity. He traveled to the South and helped assess the floods and situation there like a normal person and sent a nameless map to LR to assist her but no one met him after he left the SRQ identity. So, he was finally living for himself.

LR asked PWX why he let SRQ escape. PWX jokingly said he's petty and that SRQ with stick to LR's memory if he died and PWX didn't want LR to give SQR any slight attention. They then flirt, joke, and bicker together

I love the main couple so much too!! All the actors and our leads did a spectacular job. I just felt bothered by how the drama cut some scenes of the leads that were in the novel yet added extra bits for SRQ to make it look like a sad romance. Anyway, I'm glad I came across this story.

right! I loved the main couple in the drama too, it's just that the way the drama concluded or was directed could've been much better. They didn't come up with the story, the author did. They just had to follow her outline and the drama would've been perfect :/

Exactly! I understood each one of the characters better in the novel. I also understood LR and PWX's love better in the novel and why they both are right for each other. I surprisingly understood SRQ's character too and didn't find him as pathetic as his character in the drama. Everything seemed much more interesting in the novel that the drama felt like a letdown even though they gave us a happy ending.

I'm hoping for a special episode too 😭 After reading the novel, I'm very disappointed with the drama. I would've rated this 8.5-9 and walked away if I didn't read the novel earlier. The novel set my standards high and the drama disappointed me

Mo Shu Bai's SRQ, LR, PWX, and literally every character was written way better than the drama. I loved the story, the characters, the ending, and how the villains were written. One of the best web novels I've read. The production literally ruined a masterpiece by inserting their own foolish ideas 😭 did they think the viewers' would have SML syndrome or something bc that character in the drama is pathetic. The production must've been high to take a masterpiece story and turn it into a mediocre drama. I feel bad for the actors bc they did an amazing job. I had high hopes for the drama until the very last ep. They added a few extra things to make SRQ and LR look like they're some star crossed lovers, separated by destiny. I'm disappointed.

This! I got a better understanding of each character after reading the full novel. The novel is obviously way better than the drama. The actors did an amazing job, it's the script. I feel let down

Ep 40 LR trying to go in the fire and save SRQ was not in the novel. In the novel, she calmly walked away with PWX and didn't look back. SRQ talking about his wishful thinking of wanting children with LR was not in the novel.

The director and scriptwriters are on crack. You literally have an amazingly written plot in the novel, how hard was it to copy-paste that in the drama?!!! I was frigging defending the drama until the last ep saying nah it's gonna follow the novel and be a really satisfying ending.

Sorry but where is LR and PWX's daughter, Li Xi, and their son, Pei Qingyun. You don't have to show their grown-up kids version but there wasn't even a baby? Ok, whatever but where is the grand wedding of the Princess Royal Pingyue and her Prime Minister Pei Wenxuan?!

This is not a mini drama for god's sake, they could've written a better ending even if they blindly followed the novel

10/10 for the Novel plot and writing
7.5/10 for the Drama bc wth. I was so hopeful until the last episode but the ending was so underwhelming, unlike how it was in the novel 😭

I truly appreciate the novel but thanks to the scriptwriters here, the drama couldn't lit a candle for how bittersweet the novel is
