He already filmed an S+ drama with LYX before L&P. It’s hasn’t been released because of censorship. I think it’s mainly because they already have other things lined up. Hopefully they can work together again in future.

Right? From his haircut in the scenes where she slaps him and he pulls her into hug, where they’re at the hospital and cooking in his kitchen, it seems like it’s not too long after he gets out of prison. Unless he keeps the prison cut until his revenge is done similar to how the blond hair was before ZY got to him.

So Gao lost the offer for overseas study because of the past incident and instigated everything with FZJ and FZJ thinking to use his sister indirectly gets her killed. Then from the looks of it, out of guilt/fear, he shifts all the blame to FZJ with his words to LX but at the same time, it looked like he purposefully stirred the pot to make LX loose control.

Yes, in 2015 right before graduation, LX and ZY owns everything (50/50) no matter if ZY decides to continue school, she was always in his future plans. He didn’t want investors cause he wanted them to maintain full control. Until whatever happens with Gao, then he joins them. Then when it’s jail time, he turns over control to Gao while ZY goes overseas. Based on ep 1 conversation, LX maintained his shares just no control…kind of like silent partner…except he had no choice.

I’m hoping they show a bit of the future from the novel in the drama ending or a special ep. They’re married with 3 kids and kids want to go to Europe for vacation. LX says they could go anywhere but France (France is where ZY’s childhood friend lives…lol).

Based on the conversation between them after LX got out of jail, Gao is current CEO and probably got some shares but LX still has his shares because Gao offered to buy him out. He gave up his position due to jail time and investors are usually against ex-cons holding a CEO position so unless he proves he was framed, he’ll not be able to go back to the company.

From the description, he lost control and beats up FZJ because FZJ indirectly causes a car accident that kills his sister. There’s most likely more to it so we’ll see what happens.

Based on trailers, etc, he breaks up with her because he goes to jail. He doesn’t want to drag her into his mess. In Asian countries, things like prison and debt belongs to the whole family not just the individual. Her parents also will be against their relationship because he now has a record which for them will prove her mom’s impression of him based on the past (her mom expelled him in high school).

I think his mom’s diagnosis or bill.

To me, XLN isn’t the 2FL in part 1. So far her role isn’t big enough so we’ll see how her role is in part 2. In fact, if there is a 2FL, I would consider RenDi the 2FL at the moment and she’s one of their best friends. Second leads don’t always have to be the ones that have a romantic interest in the leads, just like Gao is 2ML.

I don’t think he hides everything. Based on their conversations, he keeps things from people he cares about when the outcome is not certain or if he feels he needs to protect them.

The argument with her parents is definitely going to be a biggie because her mom had plans for her all lined up from graduate school to career and potentially marriage. Her mom definitely does not have LX in those plans. 🥺😩

Someone who read the novel said that i the novel, Gao wasn’t as angry (there also wasn’t a thing with XLN) and he felt guilty the whole time he betrayed LX. Let’s see how his character is portrayed in the drama after the next obstacle.

A novel reader said that the FZJ scene was true to the novel and that they added the Gao/ZLN combo…probably to add more fuel to the fire of betrayal.
