Gao is learning quick that college and the world is not like high school. Difference between him and LX isn’t just ability but also their approach to life. Gao is driven by validation through recognition such as awards/competitions while LX is driven by practicality and survival. That’s what drove him to grow his abilities so early…making money to provide a better life for his mother. I love Professor Lin’s personal story and lesson…don’t let yourself be trapped by temporary wins and losses.
For episode 16...the whole best friends story was honestly not needed.Like they tried a deep dark concept where…
The backstory actually helps with the link to FZJ. ZY wouldn’t push as hard for him to join unless it was something serious. Now Gao will have another reason for his grudge against LX.
This is 40 eps...was originally 45 but cut into 40. Sometimes i wonder if they one the cut is the Leads story?…
Agree the writer didn’t give ZY enough time for character growth. I wonder if they cut some of it when they had to cut 5 eps. She’s got a bit of growth as she has learned to be more compassionate with her patients in the mountain but there’s just not enough time to forgive herself and contact LB yet. When ZY left because of LB’s distance, she put the ball in his court. In her mind, based on LB’s words and actions, she was unforgivable. If they did a complete 180 on her character, it’d be weird but the writers should have at least had her take the branch that was offered by her dad when he said LB was asking about her.
ML is the owner or main shareholder/former CEO. He broke up with FL so she went overseas. Only one left is Gao who was supposed to be their closest friend. He still has his shares but no position since he turned that over to Gao.
Wow, the rating went down pretty fast! Down .4 points in just a few days' updates. This is a most enjoyable Chinese…
I never go by MDL ratings since people will rate dramas before they’re done. I’ve seen it where individual person’s ratings are drastic from 1 cause they didn’t like an artist (straight forward about it in their review) to 10 because an artist is their bias which makes the overall rating unreliable. It was barely 1 or 2 episodes in and the story is just getting set up. I feel like this drama had pretty good pacing since we’re not getting the usual rushed ending.
I think 2019 is just the drama timeline. I believe this was filmed in the last year after CFY finished Immortality. I don’t think these school themed idol dramas take as long to pass review and air as some of the other genres. ZJY was just starting acting in 2018/2019 and I think Fall In Love was her first major drama lead role.
I dont know where the plot is going now....LB is the captain, ding ding and minming are together but the mains…
LB has gotten over the past incident and become the Captain while ZY is in the mountainous region. Their reunion will be due to a rescue attempt by LCR where LB will get trapped while rescuing ZY. From previews: Dapeng goes on a mountain hike with an adventure group and gets ill so ZY goes out to help and falls into a snowy ridge. LB and LCR goes there and gets ZY out but he gets trapped. Doesn’t show further but people said it’s a HE in the MV 🤷🏻♀️. Just hard to predict from the previews if it will be HE. One more day till we find out.
When they had that ridiculous, public fight in Zhao's office to kick-off their falling out, I assumed they had…
The only thing about Zhao is he trusts no one so he always makes sure he’s a couple steps ahead. He’s already expecting betrayal and tricks so he’s always planning something. Getting the upper hand all the time has made him really arrogant. And that’s where the Xiao bros must find the kink in his armor…so many tricks that there will be a hole somewhere. Can’t wait for it.
ZY doesn’t deserve LB - simple. If you’re going to run away instead of facing an issue together, especially…
Just my opinion but I blame them both for the avoidance issue. LB didn’t do any better by cutting himself off from her and LCR team. They both needed time and space to process everything. They could’ve written it to where her character constantly goes to LB to beg forgiveness but then that would have been too drastic of a character change when she already did some of it in their initial confrontation by being emotional. ZY definitely needed emotional growth and she’s learned a lot while away. Like most viewer’s I don’t always like how she reacts to things.
After episode 38 and with previews of the last two episodes, I’m not so sure about a HE. That fall and more snow collapsing along with LB’s monologue just seems so foreboding.
I do like ZY growth in today’s episodes. She needed to be on these medical missions to find herself and remind herself of her reasons for going into medicine. Now if only that character growth extended to her personal/love life. Why couldn’t all this past earthquake stuff came to light earlier so that it can be properly played out. Was this originally supposed to be longer than the 40 episodes? Once again another rushed ending.
I think some of that attributed to XSQ growing up with HXR and got some family love from her family where as Zhao…
Yes, HXR and her family did help give XSQ some of that family love since he moved out of the family home. I never understood how his father just let him move into one of their hotels as a kid. However, we won’t know if it would have made a difference if Zhao had someone like HXR in his life earlier or not since he already had homicidal ideations as a teenager.
The Zhao character is a real piece of work. He was a psychopath since young due to his father’s mental and physical abuse; trying to kill a little boy. I thought he may have been connected to the childhood incident that crippled ML’s brother. It’s no wonder he treats Fei’er the way that he does. He hated his father’s abuse but turned into an even worse version of his father. Zhao and ShangQi depict the two directions that kind of parental abuse can lead to since both were mentally abused by their fathers.
The drama is so far so good, one of the better ones. However, I don't really like how Li Xun treats Lao Gao. Although…
I haven’t read the untranslated parts of the novel so I don’t know what’s going to happen in the present time part and who’s the real antagonist but maybe there will be a twist and Gao/LX are putting on an act to catch the real villain FZJ. 🤷🏻♀️. Hoping for character development in the last 7 episodes of the college years for both cause they had to have developed some level of friendship/trust for them to go into business together and for his company to be left in Gao’s care. Gao also did not forcefully buy out his shares while he was in jail. What I was seeing in the first episode was GAO’s ego/fear of loosing the boss position.
OMG…is this drama really not going to have a rushed ending with the couples? Are we really going to get 4 episodes of rebuilding career and courtship? From ep 32 previews, it looks like Zhao will get arrested in either ep31 or beginning of 32 and the rest will be about the men chasing after the women and Fei’er becoming her own person. If so, thank goodness it’s not the typical rushed getting back together scenes and the ending might follow the novel with marriage and babies.
