I hope it's not offensive It's ***LX or Li Xun not LJ/ LZ, you're changing his name in every comment, I know it's…
No offense taken. Thanks for the correction. I think cause on one of the site, I watch they put something different in translation and I wasn’t paying attention when typing.
The drama is so far so good, one of the better ones. However, I don't really like how Li Xun treats Lao Gao. Although…
I don’t think ZY finds LX’s behavior acceptable but more that she understands him better. ZY so far is the only one who’s cared enough to see through his facade. She’ll be the one to influence and catalyze his behavior change. LX tries to stay low key but his name gets out there because of his skills and he doesn’t’ t take all the credit for himself. I agree I don’t like how he treats people in the base when working but I’m starting to see differences between base and outside of the base/projects. In my opinion, Gao would have turned out the way he did no matter what because he has a need to validate himself and it was shown in the beginning where he talked about being first at his school. He approached people and set up his interest group to learn from each other so that he could stay at the top and get recognition. As he said, he’s wants to be recognized for his own work. He’s doesn’t want to be a follower but tries to be more of a leader. But he doesn’t think ahead which is why his ideas don’t work or he gets nervous and sabotages himself. There were also multiple scenes where he doesn’t take suggestions or criticisms to his ideas well. Gao is the type that needs to have his ego stroked. LX definitely needs to work on constructive criticism skills. If they changed the characters, it would be too similar to Love 020.
Gao is naive. If they were in the business world, he would have just given XLN trade secrets. 🤦🏻♀️ She can’t program but she got into the final competition as a freshman? I can tell I’m not going to be able to stand her character later. So it looks like ZY has a past with FZJ which will then drag LX in but FZJ will probably already target LX for his programming skills.
I am likely off the mark but I have a hunch the Xiao brothers are setting up a trap to Zhao. They are probably…
It’s a set up by the brothers since that’s the only way to get one of them in to get information on Zhao. Zhao does a lot of shady stuff and the nursing was probably one of them. It was originally supposed to be a 5-star hotel on expensive land. The Wang person’s father purchased it cheap and turned it into a nursing home. I think the father knew something was up with the hotel/nursing home when it was sold for cheap and was purchasing it to find clues against Zhao. He knew sooner or later they needed to get out from under Deju/Zhao’s grasp on their business and that nursing home purchase was probably the start of that endeavor. Shang Qi probably realized that and wanted to do the same as his dad.
It’s the noble idiocy trop. He wants to spare her from the troubles he’s facing so that she can live her ideal…
I’m guessing her lack of career development in the earlier episodes was representative of what’s it’s like to start out in these rural towns? The difficulties of journalism, reporting, etc when somewhere new with no connections? He chances to develop her career started when she did that live feed of the missing girl which allowed that senior journalist to see what she’s capable of. I can understand her self esteem issue after the very public confession. I don’t think the confession thing would have hit her as hard if it weren’t for the fact that he ran off in the middle of it in front of everyone which caused a lot of chatter. I think one of the rumors in their group chat was she attempted suicide? She avoided that whole school crowd after. Sometimes traumatic events lead to pauses and spurts in development. It seems for Xiao Ran, she gone through both now, took a pause after confession, getting a spurt after breakup.
The way they showed her Wusu life in the first episodes reminds me of what my cousin said to my aunt once. He lives in a small village and when asked if my aunt won the lotto and purchased a hotel, would he run it for her. He was like, “no, I like the peacefulness here. I am not rich but I have everything I need, food, home, and rest. Not stressed like his siblings in the city racing around for their careers.”
It shows that he really loves her. He's aware that their love is too fresh and doesn’t have a stable „ foundation…
This is the best display of that trope I’ve seen so far. It was a logical reasoning versus some of the other drama break-up for noble reasons scenes. I think it’s because of the development of his character as you’ve said.
It’s the noble idiocy trop. He wants to spare her from the troubles he’s facing so that she can live her ideal…
That’s what I mean when I said he didn’t want her involved in Zhao’s crap. I didn’t buy that his brother would turn on him. Zhao is basically connected all over and treats everyone around him like his dolls to control and wouldn’t think twice to mess with her. Had he told her everything, she would’ve wanted to stay by his side which would put her in danger as shown in the newest episodes and in the previews. He wanted her to go back and live her ideal life while he took care of his responsibilities. In an ideal world where feelings and relationships can be turned on and off, that would be easy but of course that doesn’t happen for them. I actually really like his character and can understand his actions. It doesn’t mean I don’t see her side of it too.
Starting to see how things may change even more for Gao. LZ doesn’t seek attention but gets it while Gao wants attention and recognition but doesn’t so he always feels he looses out to LZ. So the love square may be Gao liking ZLN while she likes LZ but LZ has his own world with ZY and could care less about XLN.
So XLN appears tomorrow, Gao likes her but she likes LX ???????
That’s it seems like in the preview. The Fang guy shows up too and it seems like Gao is going to admire him and possibly want to be like him as a championship winner.
I take Janice Wu’s character as a person who hated her father for so long she got stunted. It’s sad that YB…
The earthquake taking away both of their mothers was a traumatic experience for them both. I feel for. ZY too and now they both have to figure out a way to move on from it. With his rejection, I can see how they need space to process. I don’t like that ZY ran away to the mountains but it fits in with her character. Just needed some development from that.
those who have read the novelare we getting a happy ending or what?
It’s a Happy ending. Those that are saying sad ending is leaving out the timeline of when ML dies in the novel which doesn’t happen until he’s in his 60s.
I still don't understand why Shang Qi decided to break up with Xiao Ran and just refuse to communicate with her…
It’s the noble idiocy trop. He wants to spare her from the troubles he’s facing so that she can live her ideal life in Wusu away from Zhao’s crap. He knows if she knew about his difficulties, she’d expect to be by his side facing things with him which is how relationships should be. He took that choice away from her because he wanted to protect her. Of course this will cause a misunderstanding that he didn’t trust enough to share ups and downs with.
I'm so done with Zhu Yun's mom. I wanted to see more of Zhu Yun and Li Xun's interactions when he's sick, since…
It’s a pretty typical parent set-up. She’s already practically planned out her life, undergrad, grad, probably marriage with their family friend, etc. So of course she’s not going to let her daughter stray from her “right” path/plan, especially with someone she personally expelled from school for misusing his abilities to cheat. She’s a very self-righteous controlling mom. Question is will she change or will FL give up her family cause we know FL/ML end up together.
ZY's father said he wanted to tell the boy because he couldn't live with the idea that the boy was thinking he…
I think it was in principle that the boy he saved would think the person that saved him is a hero no matter who the savior was. He didn’t want that misconception and guilt especially if the boy ever sees the picture/article which could surface again post public trial.
Almost lover means almost happy ending butIt's not happy ending drama ┐( ˘_˘)┌┐( ˘_˘)┌
Depends if the screen writer/director followed the novel or not since they added business rivalry and changed some characters. In the novel, it’s a HE after going through all the difficulties.
