In the novel, San fell in love with Deok Im at first sight. What about in the drama?
Lol…I think it crept up on them during their time in the library and they didn’t realize it until they had to leave the library behind as they grew into their respective positions. It was the one place where their identities didn’t hinder them since they weren’t CP and CL at first. I liked that it wasn’t the love at first site trope but something that developed over time and shared experiences. Loved that then they found a new place with the garden residence later.

The translation is confusing, because the goal of the drama was to end with the novel ending, and it did (I thought?),…
Agree. From reading the translation and the interviews for Seyoung and Junho, that final scene was what’s in the script so I don’t think that’s going to change since she’s talking about making it like the script. Most likely the editing of the last two episodes may change to include some missing scenes from the script that was cut?? Crossing my fingers it’s some marriage/family moments??
i wonder if the writers are giving him a hero complex on purpose or just using him as a tool for SR's redemption.…
🤦🏻♀️ I just thought it was weird because she was I’ll when SR first started working there. But good thing it’s not an extreme melodrama. I feel for SeJong being caught in the middle.
I felt like the drama should've added more family scenes or at least put the scene of the new born baby at the…
It wasn’t mentioned in the drama because they did a time-skip through their marriage. It’s what happened IRL. But in ep 16, they talked about how he was with her every night. Also, in ep17 BTS, they joked about how she got pregnant again not long after giving birth.

I thought I was the only one to compare SR to Rebecca Demornay in the Hand that Rocks the Cradle. In the episode where she first resigned, it showed her memory of the first time she saw YG. She thought she was going to attract him but he met her friend first. It’s creepy that she wanted YG before then placed her baby with them and went to work for them hiding everything. I was worried she might have something to do with the wife’s death at one point, like slow poisoning or something but then they were friends. Did they say what she died of? What I’m really worried about is if she tries a kidnapping out of desperation and gets into a car accident, hurting Sejong, since she drives crazy when upset.
Is it tragedy romance? I tried to watch the first few eps and there were a lot of cliche moments that I couldn’t…
I’m not sure. I haven’t watched it since it came out on Viki a long time ago. But now I have IQIYI and Tencent VIP for cdramas but haven’t found one to hold my attention lately.

They skipped most of their marriage parts. She spent most of the time pregnant. 2 miscarriages, son born, daughter born (died at 2 months), then last pregnancy. He made up for lost time. Queen and other concubine never had actual pregnancies or confirmed births.

This made me cry all over again. “In the end, their choices led them to each other, and that itself is probably enough proof for their true feelings.” (Talking Cupboard)
