Is it tragedy romance? I tried to watch the first few eps and there were a lot of cliche moments that I couldn’t…
Oh ok…thanks 😊. I was only able to watch bits of the special episode on YouTube and I just remember him waking up in bed with her like it was a dream. It was before I got the IQIYI and Tencent apps and they don’t put those specials on the apps.

I skipped a lot like I tend to with historical cdramas. The only one I didn’t ffwd much was Story of Minglan. I think maybe because I felt it dragged a bit with the whole ML forgotten memories but FL remembers everything arc.
I love historical drama, but since Six Flying dragons there was only one which I enjoyed - My kingdom. I don't…
That’s why I wish they didn’t time-skip their good times during marriage, but you see parts of it in ep17 with the King’s memories. Loved that they had Doek-Im mostly stay within the boundaries of her role as Court Lady except when in private with the CP/King, but that meant the actress had to brilliantly act with facial micro-expressions and the eyes. Lee Seyoung was on point with this and showed the different nuances as the character matured just like Junho did with maturing from CP to King. It was brilliant to team these two great underrated actors together. I don’t think it would have been the same TRS if either one of them was missing.

It’s a tragedy romance like most historical cdramas that aren’t idol dramas. They tried to make up for it with a special modern episode (like they woke up and it was all a dream).

He really meant it when he wanted them to be a family and tried as much as possible without breaking palace protocols related to the Queen. That’s why I wished they had at least an episode of family time. It wasn’t completely miserable for Doek-Im and we saw that in ep16 where she says, there will be happy times and there will be sad times, which is how life is. But everything took its toll on her in the end with the successive deaths.
yall i kinda forgot, but why was the old court lady trying to give the winter hat to yisan and why did head court…
The clues to the location of King YeongJo’s promise to CP Sado was divided into three parts. One part sown into the hat, second part in the mother’s ring, third part tattooed on Doek-Im. Head Court Lady Jo and some of the older officials like Left State Counselors knew the letter existed but didn’t know where it was. Since the old court lady was CP Sado’s nanny, Head Court Lady Jo is always suspicious of her. She most likely didn’t know about the clue but she doesn’t trust her.
This reincarnation edit is pretty good. Might be the best reincarnation edit I’ve seen so far for this drama…
Love it. If they do a modern or reincarnation drama, it has to be a really good script so that their talents aren’t wasted. Junho and Seyoung, for me, have the best emoting, eye acting, role immersions I’ve seen amongst the actors their age. They’ve both been acting about 9 years in adult roles (Seyoung started over from the bottom after taking a 3 yr hiatus for school).
Yes, even I thought at moments , had their lives turned out better if they didn't know each other? I think Deokim…
She said that because San has no concept of being anything else but King…so if in the next life, he is King, pass her by so that she doesn’t have to be a concubine again. However, we see that in the end, as he was dying, he finally chose to leave the Kingdom behind to live an ordinary life with Doek-Im in his favorite moment. 😭
I wouldn’t want to go life after life living through the same pains like Groundhog Day.
I would recommend you to watch "love and redemption"
They’re just poorly executed or they get hijacked by a company to introduce new actress/actor they’re trying to push and ruin most of the plot. I give up.
From the article:Due to their incredible chemistry, viewers have been asking Lee Junho and Lee Se Young to revive…
They basically both said the same. They can’t make it happen but if the opportunity knocks, they would do it. Hoping the opportunity comes sometime in the future. Love what he said about how they were in tandem with their acting just by looking at each other due to being comfortable and communicating well in an enjoyable atmosphere. No wonder their chemistry was great.
