A small town where nobody knows what a kdrama is

I'm currently a student going into social work/therapy so dramas like this are perfect for me! Thank you so much for writing this article <3

In reality there can be love between any age/bodytupe/looks people. Sadly, in shows we can see only good looking…
I totally agree. That's exactly why jdramas are my favorite. They're truly the best when it comes to original or very human stories.

Do you have any recs for romances where either of the leads don't fit the "conventionally attractive" sterotype? I'd love to find some.

I don't know why, but I feel like I'm watching a secondary couple. The lack of charisma, screen presence, and overall depth of the characters make them all feel like side characters. For being a romance drama, there honestly isn't much romance nor is it developed very well.

The writers chose to base the story around a small town, but failed to utilize the many plot points, pretty scenery, and easy cinematography that could've been accomplished. They set it in a small town, so why not make that as an advantage instead of just a background thing?

Dropped on ep 8, overall 7.5/10

Title Master's Delicacies Spoiler
LOL, the writer has no idea what an eating disorder is, I am not even sure they googled it. But overall it is…
I totally agree lol. It was like they were trying to do a lighthearted take on ED, but instead it just came off as them not taking it seriously. I mean it's pretty strange that they used her ED as a comedy proponent and why do none of the characters have sympathy or take her seriously?? She has anorexia and bulimia, both of which are extremely harmful, yet her friend/sister helps her to continue doing so? The ML finds out about her ED and then blackmails her into revealing it? I'm sorry what? dude are you telling me that because she ruined your reputation, you want to get back at her by making her revealing something as deeply traumatic as that???

Person Yeo Jin Goo
Why does he keep ending up in bad projects?? He's so crazy talented but all his recent shows just haven't been good...

Because they needed a more interesting purpose. They actually talked about it in the drama. I think the point…
I totally get that. It's just that I've watched a lot of stories with the same exact evil politic plotlines and this drama didn't bring anything new to the table with that. I think it could've just been fantasy instead of trying to bring in"real life" evils too...

But I'm glad you enjoyed the show though :) Everybody likes different things.

There are three mains plots in the series.

An older woman who just got out of a bad divorce learns how to grow independent and enjoy her job. She then meets a younger man who she has a twisted fate with.

A young college student who is quick to fall in love ends up in a bad relationship. A funny revenge plot ensues.

A long term couple goes through many twists and turn to decide whether or not they still love/want to be together.

This is a surprisingly good series. It's a show about the importance or unimportance of relationships. When is the conclusion of a relationship? When has the relationships gone too far to the point of losing oneself? Those are the keys points of this show. The lengths that people will go to hold onto something that they should let go.

I don't get why this has such a high rating... The concept of possessions, superpowers, and a secret society of grim reaper like people is sooo fun. So why did the writers feel the need to make 90% of the show about politics and investigations? Who cares about politics and evil mayors when there are literal evil spirits possessing people??

The first 4 eps are the best, the rest just becomes boring. I think I'm gonna drop at ep 7.
