This movie is slow paced and that's exactly it's charm. It's not a dramatic story of romance, but a story about the genuine connection that forms between two lonely people. How grief, loss, and the troubles of life wear you down; it's up to you to chose how you face it and who you face it with.
"Friendship is the most romantic of all the relationships."
The plot had so many interesting ideas, but it didn't' have enough time to flesh out. I would've loved to see this as a mini series where we got to learn more about the clan, all the thieves, and the characters backstories. Overall the movie was still a very fun watch and Wang Anyu is amazing as always. There are some really weird editing choices with jump cuts, but other than the weird transitions, the directing is well done.
This was such a sweet movie. The story is simple and many aspects are cliche, but the characters feel real. Watching these kids find supportive adults, make goals for themselves, and hope for better futures is extremely heartwarming. I'd totally watch a second movie if there was enough story for it.
The ML is so adorable my gosh. He's so funny, sweet, and intelligent. The actor had a lot of good micro-expressions and was surprisingly good for a vertical drama. The dynamics were so fun, totally recommend.
Why was this so good?? It was amazing for a vertical drama and really good for a drama in general? Like what? The directing was so creative and detailed. I want a full length version of this!
This was an amazing watch. It was dark, gritty, and everything moment of violence had weight. It reminded me of Hollywood and how the rich and powerful use that power. How those with dreams turn into something else.
Trigger warning for extreme violence against women. But it's not shock value, it's the entire reality they're aiming to stop.
