Well, I’m up to ep 34 and I’m still very much bored with Jing + XY’s scenes. Except for maybe one scene, their other romantic scenes are flat to me because of their lack of chemistry.

Meanwhile, XL + XY are serving us swoon worthy scenes.

I absolutely loved the VA For Dylan Wang, he elevated DFQC. Dylan Wang didn’t use his voice in LBFAD because of his Sichuan accent. He’s working on it though!!

He must be a dancer because the way he moves is so elegant!! His fight scenes are so fierce! Tan jian xi has delicate features but he looks SO manly in this drama.

wow I never knew he had that background! He definitely has the villain look - it’s just over the top!

Tan Jianci has a romantic one coming out so let’s be excited about that!

I agree with Tan Jianci! He should be getting more lead roles after this but I also think the reason why he’s so irresistible is because he’s more mature too.

I can’t think of a better ending for him! Love that he found out that he’s really a nobody!

HA! I can’t agree with you more! XY must be the densest woman alive if she can’t feel the love XL has for her. In 5th grade, I was able to tell when a boy had a crush on me by how he acted!

I’m only up to the part where CX walked in on her sleeping next to Jing. I’m actually getting quite annoyed by this development and plan to stop after the snatching bride scenes (only to find out it’s in season 2 wth!!). I can’t deal with how the writer treats my poor XL.

See, that’s the thing with Jing. He uses people as well but at the same time gets used by everyone! I need him to be the ML of our dreams, a smart ML that takes action and not be so indecisive. He’s just stagnant, taking all this crap with a sad face.

With XL, no body uses him unless he ALLOWS them to. That’s the difference between the two and maybe that’s why I am drawn to him.

BTW it might seem like I’m really passionate and screaming about these fictional characters but really I’m just waiting in the car to pick up my daughter. hehe.

I would like to add - ZY spent less time saving Jing than ZL spent on saving ZY. ZY gave a few drops of blood to Jing while ZL GAVE HER HIS HEART BLOOD! Even if she didn’t know he gave her one of his lives, this is enough!! If Jing fell for her for saving him, I don’t see how she’s not more moved by this!

Yes, they are both just relying on XL for their HE. It just seems lazy. And yes it’s about time Jing do SOMETHING about his engagement. For someone so strategic, he just don’t get it!

Then when she had that whole monologue about when he kisses her, he changes from a little rabbit to a wolf? Girl, he’s NEVER a wolf!!! At most he’s a golden retriever!!!

XL taking the poison out near XY’s mouth was more swoony than the medicine feeding via mouth scene with her and Jing!

I see what you mean and I also feel that present day XY don’t deserve Xiang Liu. At least with CX, she’s his cousin and her support as Princess meant he’s closer to the throne.

With Xl, aside from giving him healing blood in bed that one time, all she did was take from him. He’s with her when she’s lonely, he teaches her archery to protect herself but she goes and uses him to make Jing jealous. XL gave her one of his lives and spent 37 years saving her for crying out loud!

I just feel like XL and CX were getting things done, making things happen while Jing was laying on a comfy bed being fed meds for 37 years. Then when she wakes up they have a whole touching scene and we as audiences are supposed to feel something? I didn’t lol.

I always thought that XY felt sympathy towards Jing more than anything. There is no doubt that she likes him so maybe it’s the delivery of the actor or the fact that compared to Tan Jianci, Deng Wei just didn’t have as much chemistry with Yang Zi.

I keep waiting for something to happen in Jing and XY’s story to pull be back on that ship but they keep on feeding us swoony ones of XL! ugh!
