One thing I don’t understand about Jing’s grandma -
It’s obvious she favors Jing over his older brother and wants Jing to lead Tushan clan. Why is she okay with Jing being the father of the brother’s kid? I’m assuming that was the grandma’s maid that listened in the pregnancy convo between Jing’s fiancée and the brother.

Yes! XL did what a normal person in charge of an army would do when a suspicious looking stranger wandered near your camp. Especially since times are so tense. It took XL a while to trust and eventually fall for XY. I give him credit for falling for her inner beauty because XY was still a dude when he did.

I also didn’t like XL at first because I found him abusive. Then I thought about it - even though he knew XY was a woman, she did fact stumbled near his army base as a man. XL is a demon and is fighting in an army so It makes perfect sense that he is suspicious of XY.

It didn’t take him long to fall for her and after it happened, he did everything he can to keep her safe.
