I realized that Li Zhiting and Li Yunrui look very much alike. Li Yunrui is the delicate and gentle one, Li Zhiting is the mature and masculine one. I've known Li Zhiting since long, but I realized this after I rewatched Legend of Two Sisters in The Chaos (Li Zhiting, Meng Ziyi). As I was watching I kept thinking "I see Li Yunrui in him".

Mei Li started as this lively, adorable, free spirited girl. But bcos there is not a single happy thing comes to her ever since she came to the capital, her character changed drastically. Especially bcos the man treats her like that. But she still tries her best to live and endure. She helps ML when he is in trouble, and protects her son so he won't be bullied by first wife and her mother in law.

So rather than saying she is kindhearted, just say she endures to survive. People who watched it complained that they don't like how FL changed and wanted her to be lively again. While I wished she could marry Yong He instead.

Her agency is a very small agency. There are only a very few artists under it. It is hard for her to get a role. As far as I know, her latest project was starring in Kim Myungsoo/L's Japanese single MV.

The novel focuses more on political issues bcos it is set during Three Kingdoms era. After some palace intrigues, Wei Kingdom goes to war against Wu and Zhao. However, sometimes the FL has to deal with the ML's concubines. With her help, ML can get rid of them one by one to move forward with his goals.

Bcos FL is from Zhao, it is natural for her to stand against ML.

It's been more than 4 years since Jin Seyeon's last drama and it's been ages since the King Jaejoong last appeared on screen 😭🎉

Fans were curious what dynasty this drama will set in. The novel takes place in Wei Kingdom. It is set during the war between Wei and Wu (Three Kingdoms era). Now after seeing the hanfu they are wearing in the drama, those are the hanfu wore during Three Kingdoms era (220 AD). Bcos the hanfu are only slightly different from what they wore during Han Dynasty. Jiang Taohua is from Zhao kingdom, which makes it more obvious. Thankfully it seems that the scriptwriter didn't change the era setting 🙏

I searched for the novel out of curiosity and was shocked by 2 things:
1. The novel has more than 900 chapters.
2. It is a total harem with about 15 girls fall in love with the ML.

Thankfully they changed the plot for the drama.

It's too short!!! Why is it too short??? It ended so fast! I feel like the last eps was so full of information, but it went so fast, my mind blew up 😅 I wished they had one more eps so it didn't have to be stuffed in ep 8. That ending though. Wow....

Can we hope for summer version of GHSMC? They want to wear summer uniforms 🤭

Okay if you have no problem with spoilers...

1. Dou Zhao remembers Song Mo in the previous life was the executioner to Prince Liao who rebelled. She is scared of Song Mo. If you are curious, read the chapters of their first meeting (114-122).

2. Bcos of this, Dou Zhao is eager to cut ties with him and doesn't want to get involve in his affairs. She never expected that Song Mo keeps on seeing her.

3. She saves Song Mo's life. For her, this is the last time she saves him.
But for him, she saves both his life and heart. So she runs, he chases.

4. If his father finds out she saved him, it will implicate her. Also, how can she tell her family she knows a noble like Song Mo? So they keep silent about their relationship.

5. Dou Zhao is engaged to Wei Tingyu. He thinks she wants to marry that man, so he wants to respect her choice and suppress his own feelings.

523 chapters 😅😭 it is a long novel. The reason is bcos it starts from when she was still an infant, and it also tells from the point of views of their relatives.

My dear, even in the novel Yang Kang is the actual villain. No matter which remake, it is all the same 🙄

I'm a fan of Meng Ziyi. You might call me biased, but she is a real professional when it comes to acting. She is very good no matter what her character is, be it an elegant and gentle girl, pretentious and shameless fox girl, cruel and dark villain. Her character as Mei Chaofeng here gathered praises. Even my friend who doesn't watch her previous dramas keeps praising her.

Yang Kang is ambitious, manipulative, scheming. He doesn't truly love Mu Nianci. Basically a two faced snake. He is the real villain in this story. The second cp is doomed from the start.

I have finished reading the novel and re-reading it, along with Meng Ziyi's 2 other project's novels 😅
Shen Zaiye and Mu Wuxia's "poor clothes" are non existent in the novel. Adding Jiang Taohua there, making me wonder if the three of them are doing undercover mission or something.

Seeing the reuters from 14/6-15/6, Liu Xueyi and Bian Cheng have dreaded looks, as if they are commoners from a very poor family. I don't find the scene that needs this looks in the novel though... 🤔

They had outdoor shooting on 15/6. Meng Ziyi and Liu Xueyi wearing blue, as commoners. This scene is not in the novel. I wonder if they added "pretending to be a commoner" kinda scene?

idk about Court Lady, but don't worry! The cp didn't want outsiders to find out they actually know each other until they are married. After that, they are like inseparable cuties 🤭 I really want to recommend reading the novel, but it is confusing and super long 🤦‍♀️ All I can say is, there is a deep reason why they can't have an open friendship. However, this actually helps a lot to Song Mo's plan to marry Dou Zhao.

I'm currently reading the novel. I started from chapter 60s and now at 230. Gosh, there are TOO MANY characters and it made me dizzy! I don't know who's who. Dou family has about 20 people including in-laws, cousins, nanny, etc. Wei family, Ji family, Wang family, Song family. Damn... I only care about the people serve under the main couple and their close friends.

The novel is really long bcos it also tells the story from the side of their relatives. This usually this takes 2 or more chapters 😑

For those who are curious, Dou Zhao and Song Mo first encounter is on chapter 114 and they get married on chapter 243. They are barely together or meet bcos they don't want people to find out their "relationship".
