I am really disgusted with the debuting group… Seriously, the worst outcome possible. Daeul? Xin Che? Shihuan? No Linq Qi, Sungmin, Yoo Jun?

I am so angry right now. The resulting group is pathetic, thanks to the pay-to-win votes.
I enjoyed the show (until the final) a lot, but I will surely not follow this pathetic group. I feel it will be short-lived anyway, like pretty much all IQIYI groups before.

The same goes for Project 7, the group is not good either.

I’m going to wait for Boys Planet 2, hopefully for a group I can stan, where more than 2/3 are talented and where having a rich family doesn’t let you buy votes to bypass actually talented trainees.

I think it was not aired in China, only on foreign websites to avoid the ban.

Runtime of this show is ~ 38 minutes and the two latest episodes (11 and 12) have been around 25 minutes. That means they have censored around 10 mins of each episode.

I'm really hesitating to start this, I feel like I'm gonna be really frustrated.
They should have done like IQiyi did with "Blue Canvas of Youthful Days", that is airing the full uncensored version on their international website, and not airing anything on their Chinese website. It's better than butchering the drama like that.

Too bad it's filmed vertically and the screen is so narrow. Looks terrible on a TV or PC screen.

I hate this trend of vertically filmed drama. What's the point of using 30% of the screen when you can use 100%... Hardly an innovation.

Thank you for your hard work. However, to be honest, this outcome was inevitable. Anything shared on the internet tends to get copied and redistributed (with or without permission), it’s simply the nature of the internet. It is not respectful but it is what it is.

Even multi-billion-dollar companies like Warner, Netflix, and Adobe have poured immense resources into combating this with DRM technologies, yet they’ve totally failed to stop piracy.

I don’t quite understand why fansubbers take this issue so personally. Isn’t the essence of fansubbing to bring joy to others and help them discover Japanese culture? Is it fine punishing these people because some obscure sites, which no one can do anything about, reuploads them? I don't think so.

For those eager to watch episode 12 before Christmas, you can automatically subtitle it using OpenAI's Whisper. The results with the large-v2 model on Japanese are very close to human-level work, although there are occasional mistakes.

This is probably my favorite Japanese BL of the year. The pacing is good, the chemistry is amazing, and it has both heartwarming, funny, and sad moments, with a little bit of mystery. I love the intro song too.
