They should have kept the traditional grading system of A, B, C, D, etc., in front of everyone. This “Pass” and “Fail” setup in separate rooms felt dull to me, it was less suspenseful because it was easy to predict who would pass. The letter-based evaluations bring more excitement, as you’re genuinely wondering about each person’s grade.
Are all the eps 2 1/2 hours?? That seems excessively long.
I prefer this over rushed, hour-long episodes, at least you get to know the contestants. Also you can split it and watch it in several times over the week so the wait for the next episode isn't too long.
However, this is NOT a romance. But a psychological thriller. The relationships between the main leads is more like a teamwork to survive than a romance. Dont watch that expecting a romance focused plot.
Also, it is not the regular "Zombie Action" drama. The story focused more on the characters' psychology and terrible things they are willing to do to survive than brainless action scenes. E.g. "Humans are more dangerous than zombies".
No ! USA movies are propaganda, not this drama, its just chinese history
And? Most drama viewers don’t care about that at all. Is this drama about Hong Kong retrocession? No. It’s irrelevant to the story and was included purely for propaganda purposes.
Also, no need to be so defensive. I’m just stating a fact. Feel free to enjoy blatant propaganda, I don’t.
And I am not American, so dont start with USA blablabla. US propaganda is trash too. I have no double standard, thus why I also dont watch propagandistic US drama about the invasion of Iraq, etc.
This feels like propaganda drama. What the fuck is this plot. "Hu Qiu Min, intending to use the summer vacation of her first year in high school to start the adventure of "going to Hong Kong to welcome the city's return to the motherland", but failed."
All of this to say she couldn't go on a trip.
Also who write "motherland" in a drama plot except for World War II stuff ...
Strongly recommend, it was one the best chinese movie I have seen so far. Same level as "Better Days".

Drama taking places in the 90s => must praise Hong Kong retrocession (even if it has no relation whatsoever to the drama story).
At least make it subtle, it's so gross.

This really sucks, it had the potential to be one of the top japanese BLs. The first episodes were really among the best in any japanese BLs.
