Wow, you should write an article with the topic of Kdramas changes thru the years! To educate youngsters like us. It has been several time I browse past articles from the oldest to the newest for my series MDL Article Revisited, but I have never read an article like that on MDL.

lol... thanks for the award! I'm glad you like it. Wow I'm surprised all dramas you watched are your favorites. You know sometimes we pick a drama since like the beginning but then end badly, or not drag in the middle. Then the drama is no longer favorite ;D

I also dropped L020 and ALSB and don't watch GGS, but I'm just curious about your observation on drama pre-2020. I was born in dramaland mid 2019 so in 2020 I started watching all 2020 releases then this year too. I haven't watched many dramas of any country from 2019 and before. They are still in PTW list. So your insight is interesting and I will take that into consideration when I clearing up my PTW list ;D

Yeah, I think so, although I think there are wuxia dramas that are also not historical too but fantasy.

I commented yesterday there is no any article about detective/crime dramas, maybe in the future but who knows when or if will be ever published. So I compiled to you two lists, since don't know what you're really looking for

I just realized probably the horror movies listed in the articles are not necessarily new cos articles on horror movies are quite rare. So here I compiled the top horror movies (minus romance and comedy). There are all completed but I don't know if they are subbed or not. Hopefully you can find something new to watch for Halloween ;D

Yeah that's why I only put top 5 cos I thought they're not popular on MDL. I think I put Dream Detective for a looong time in my Waiting to be Subbed List already. That one is still not subbed, eh? I think even some top actors like Johnny Bai played in RE dramas still don't make them to be subbed.

I think Novoland doesn't connect to each other, you can watch any first. I only watched Novoland: The Castle in the Sky 2 last year. I don't even watch the prequel. That sequel too not connected to the first one, cos it's about the daughter of the couple in the prequel. If you want to know more about the whole franchise, someone wrote an article about it:

What are Cdramas that are post Republican but not modern?

Yeah, cos someone commented somewhere that Republican Era dramas kill their main characters. I don't necessarily like watching tragic endings ;D

Yeah I love it too, imho should be out there in the top list. I think many people don't want to watch it thinking we need to watch the others in the franchise first

I don't watch the pure horror dramas, but horror+comedy or horror+romance. Yeah, with blanket or pillow next to me, lol
