Everyone's talking about a Season 2. May I know if this ends on a cliffhanger?(P.S. please mark your comment as…
Depends on what you mean by a cliff-hanger. I wouldn’t call it a cliff-hanger because it doesn’t abruptly finish in the middle of some intense scene. But the story is definitely not finished and they clearly set up the scene for season 2 :)
2 eps in and it’s goooooood! I’m definitely binging the whole thing tonight!
Aaaaaand finished. This was awesome ;’) like others said - not sure why ratings are rather low but this show was really great. I think I might be giving more japanese series a go - I love how short and straight to the point they are!
Wtf ;__________; i thought it was a mind game and that whoever is a wolf dies after all. I really thought he will the wolf in to Shibuki and all the boys will live. Whaaaaaaaat ;__________; my heart was not ready for this episode
Ok so I've just watched the first episode. This is also my first historical chinese drama as well. I really want to give it a proper go considering the positive feedback and ratings but can someone please summarise what makes it so special? Because after the first episode all I can think is "I'm so lost and that cringe, cringe, cringe terrible CGI...". What's the phenomenon of this drama and also other chinese historical dramas (since there are quite a few very highly rated). I can also add that I'm not the biggest fan of korean Joseon dramas and typically avoid them. Will I still enjoy The Untamed?
Please let me know when you finish.. im really curious on your final thoughts
I have finished it and I must say that maybe my expectation were set really really low due to all the negative comments on this page, but I didn't feel like this was THE WORST ENDING IN DRAMA HISTORY like some people say. Yes, I must say that there was a lot of unnecessary stuff added in the last three episodes (especially the last episode) but none of it contradicted what we have seen in the earlier episodes at least. For me a terrible ending is when whatever rules/plots/relationships were established from the beginning suddenly all go to bust and nothing makes sense. I rate this drama 8/10. I was really unsure whether I should start watching it or not because of all the negative comments but I'm glad I did. It's definitely not a waste of time. A waste of time is when the drama starts bad but you believe it will become better and it never does. That's when you've wasted your time. And not when you've not liked 3h out of total 16 watched... in my opinion at least.
I loved everything about the show, and would have tucked it in with the all time favorites too. To be honest,…
My thoughts exactly! I was crying so much during the last ep and then when he came back to life I wasn’t sure if I should be angry at writers for coming up with this unrealistic twist or if I should be happy for the happy ending for the leads... i think in the end it was the latter since I watched it just before going to sleep and i didn’t have to go to bed heartbroken :p
I am two episodes away from finishing this drama but I have to leave the comment for myself here since I still didn’t turn sour so I can remember how much I enjoyed it before I get to this really terrible ending that everyone has been talking about.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not a masterpiece but there are so many enjoyable things about this drama... I would feel like it’s unfair to give a really bad ending considering I have been enjoying it quite a bit for those 14 episodes. 1. The main couple is cute. Their relationship is really heartwarming and they have a good chemistry. It’s not cringy like in some other recently aired dramas (ekhem ekhem The Tale of the Nine-Tailed ekhem). 2. I absolutely looooved Man Bok’s and his wife’s story. And I thought it was a great idea to use Ah Ra and Jae Wook to play their young selves. 3. I really enjoyed mom’s character. I think it was very well written. Initially she was really annoying and I was sure she is one of the evil mom’s from makjangs but I was pleasantly surprised. 4. Ha Young’s and Seung Eun’s relationship! They were a great duo! 5. Genius Mi Mi playing the piano? Come on guys haha. That was brilliant. 6. Jae Wook’s acting! I love that boy! Can’t wait to see more of him in some main roles!
So yea... if I get pissed at the ending and want to give low rating I will read through this comment again, try to cool off and give proper judgment of the whole drama and not just last 2 episodes.
Wrote that in my comment too, it’s like the og screenwriter left on vacay lol, not a good sign for the end.
Lol exactly. But she was so bad ass up until ep 6 I think. Pretty much until romance started? Very observant at the beginning. Didn’t get tricked by disguised Lee Rang because of his freakin shoes but she didn’t get any hints that Tae Ri is Imugi? He was looking a bit off from the very beginning lol. Anyway... just 2 eps to go which will probably just be skip-skip-skip for me.

Exactly! It’s not just about cringy cheesy romance scenes... i could still deal with that. Although... there are definitely too many ? but a lot of the plot-driving scenes are just dumb and ridiculous. Like the scene in the bathroom where Ji Ah called out Imugi to chat with him/it? 1. This conversation brought literally nothing to the plot so what’s the point? 2. Isn’t it too dangerous? Before when Imugi was taking over she didn’t have much control over her body and now she just casually calls him out for some dumb chat. Trying to ‘threaten’ him maybe? Dunno ? Or the whole plague thing... of course all the strangers die at the same time but all our supporting characters are still miraculously alive.
