The first few years I used to ‘suffer’ from NDD. And then I realized that life is too short for watching sh*t dramas. Would rather spend this time watching something good instead. I guess you learn to manage your time more when you get a bit older and need to start making sacrifices.

I miss his antagonist roles ): he honestly excels at those but I remember him saying in one of the interviews that those roles are very heavy for him to deal with psychologically and he has to take time to recover afterwards... so I guess we won’t be seeing him in those kinds of roles again

After ep2 and I dont get the hype. The development doesn’t make sense at all. Suddenly there are all those monsters but nobody seems to be surprised, nobody is panicking and everyone has some badass weapons. Everybody accepts that suddenly there are monsters running around... all the praise this gets is just a mistery to me

I feel like it’s time to rewatch. Last time I watched this I was still at uni. Now I’m a working professional in a country that takes unions seriously. So surprised this show is so heavily underrated and not many have seen it. Shame... such a shame...

I am on episode 29 and this has finally started growing on me. I mean, it wasn't bad before but I just didn't understand the hype. I was blinded by the terrible CGI and what was that wolf monster thing from around episode 20? I almost pissed myself laughing it was so bad. But I think I have gotten used to this (or there are less of those scenes now?) and now I'm just sucked in by the story, the characters and the beautiful cinematography. Watching this in HD on the 65" tv is truly marvellous. Shame it's not in 4K :3

So if you are like me - you have just started, or are quite a few episodes in but still don't see the appeal and don't understand the hype for this drama - give it a chance and watch a few more eps until you really can't stand it anymore. The chances are, you will also eventually get sucked in as well :)

Oh, and btw... I am not a fan of BL and I do not really care for WangXian (as of now at least). There is so much more to enjoy about this drama apart from this plot (in case you are put off by BL) :)

Honestly. Don’t waste your time on this shit :D don’t start it because it will be tempting to finish because it’s so short. But it doesn’t get any better. Cringy, terrible acting, terrible characters, awful female lead. There is literally NOTHING good about this drama. A total disaster :3
