Well... he was supposed to end up with ok ryeon but then the day he proposed to her, she dies (it happens in episode 23) so in the end, he reunites with his sister.
That's a sweet ending even if he doesn't end up with one of the girls.
I like kang chul more after she made everything look like a dream to him because it looks like he kinda because more understanding and his personality got better.
